Enough can't be said about the job Monken is doing with this offense. It's been incredible by any measure, but when you consider that so many pieces from offseason camp are out of play, it's even more impressive.

As a Georgia fan, I can't remember the last time I've thought "our OC is amazing." A couple of DCs, but never an OC. Praise for Monken!!!!

Last year I remember watching a few breakdowns on Youtube and there were plenty of big play opportunities that we just missed. I chalked that up to players in a new system.

An offseason later and we look so much better hitting the plays with the right calls. Monken is definitely the right guy for the job.

We've had 2 shitty ones and 1 average one in a row between Bobo and Monken so it definitely feels like it's been a while. Bobo doesn't get near the credit he deserves and I don't really know why.

I thought Bobo did well, I liked and still like Bobo, but the frustration around Bobo was generally situational, not aggregate. In aggregate, the stats were all pretty good. But Ealy up the middle on 3rd and 9 kind of stuff was a constant head shaker. Like he was thinking 'what's the last thing the defense would expect' and there's a reason it's the last thing the defense would expect.

You'll notice nobody has even a peep of negatively to say about bobo in '12 and '13, when coincidentally, we just so happened to have talent everywhere on offense. 2010 seems to be the biggest season people point to with the "3rd down up the middle runs" but we had friggin carlton thomas as a leading RB and a wide eyed freshman at QB. Even the year you mentioned with a good core of backs we had Cox at QB and a WR group headlined by AJ Green followed by nobody else. TK and marlon were freshmen and the others were mike moore and izzy troupe lol

Gaudy stats, but no titles, or, as the Bard himself would say "Full of sound and fury, signifying nothing." Ultimately, most people would rather have the hardware.

Monken sure has called a fair amount of James Cook up the middle to little success until more recently. I seem to recall reading as much on this very forum pretty frequently.

But he doesn't call it on 3rd and 9.

Let’s not. He’ll get a HC job sooner or later. Might as well have it be later

Someone said Monken to LSU. I could see that. Other than the Clemson game he has been aces in calling games this year. He always calls offensive plays that work the opposing teams weaknesses. I wish we had a guys in waiting to be our next OC like we do on defense.

The offense wasn't the issue in '12,'13 or '14

BTW,I thought he called a outstanding game against us.Thanks God their WR's couldn't catch a cold that day.
