LSU fans told me there was no way that O caught lightening in the bottle and would be fired in a few years like Chizik

They will have both coached 2 seasons worth of games before no longer being employed by their respective schools. People really want to push semantics to sensationalize all. Chizik didn't have all the off-field shite O carried with him as well.

But yeah, Gene Chizik did more with less. LSU was way more talented under Ed O than Auburn was under Gene Chizik.
Auburn just so happened to have the GOAT college player at QB.

Chizik got paranoid. He hired private security To surveil players who lived off campus and to enforce curfew.

I’m pretty sure Chizik got the pink slip after the Arkansas game. It wasn’t official until the annual asswhipping by Bama

If it makes you feel better but if you watch the rest of the season after Arkansas and the massive rumors that week that he’d get canned if he lost to John L Smith, you’d come to the conclusion he was fired that week
