How many points does losing a player like Dickerson cost us per game?

It’s hard to accurately quantify such a loss, but what’s your opinion? Wish I could get Vegas’ take on it. 3 or 4? Or more than that? I hate we are going to be without him.

This worries me a great deal. I think this hurts the running game and our balance.

We just lost a first round draft pick from the middle of our online.

Waddle coming back will negate any points lost by Dickerson.

Dickerson is great, but he isn't (wasn't) a 1st round draft pick.

We have lots of oline options. It’s more of a leadership issue, and I’m sure Dickerson will be on the sideline. I’m not worried

My guess is 0. A great offensive lineman in the National Football League is worth about .4, so I'm guessing that losing Dickerson will do nothing to the spread.

I’m hope I’m wrong but I doubt Waddle will be anywhere close to fully healthy

Saban said he has confidence in the next man up, Chris Owens.

He’s played like one. Wouldn’t be shocked if he’s taken in Rd 1. He’s a savage and this hurts bad - from a leadership and talent stand point.

A healthy Waddle MIGHT negate the points lost from losing LD69, but I’d rather have Dickerson than Waddle for the playoffs. A good DT (or interior rush from anyone) on his shite that day can absolutely ruin an entire game plan - think Saints vs. Vikings last year (you especially should remember this; I do, unfortunately), Quinnen Williams basically all of 2019, etc.

The ability to lean on the other teams’ DL all game with a punishing OL cannot be understated.

He was probably the best center in college football, but rarley does a center get taken in the 1st round. Kelly to Indy was an exception.

But you're right, he could've been a 1st round pick to a team with a need there. But I doubt it'll happen now with his FSU and recent injury history.

It's impossible to put a # on it because not only did we lose an excellent blocking center, but also the leader and most importantly, the man responsible for recognizing defenses and calling out blocking assignments at the LOS. A screw up there and there's no telling what could result.

Dickerson struggled with injuries his entire career. Losing him is a blow but not surprising really. I am sure they planned for this contingency

Waddles not coming back before nc game if at all. Even if he did he won’t be 100%.

They would probably use him as a decoy out wide.
