And Auburn. The only thing you can’t do against that bitch Nix is let him get comfortable and get in a rhythm. Hit him, chase him out of the pocket, blitz him, but don’t give him time!

Do folks really think that Kentucky went full retard? They realized that the unbalanced stuff and the shifts had been figured out by the fourth series. From there they struggled to 3 plays with positive gains.

Auburn will throw a backyard football game at us with every trick play they have. I also worry about the fact that our defensive line is not nearly as talented as we would like to think. They get run on. I would hate to see Auburn dominate with the dive plays.

And yet they were too stupid to see that they couldn't get a first down in the 3rd quarter without the motion. OCs and DCs get too much credit for being smarter than they show on game day. Stupid is as stupid does. Fans just don't believe what they see.

It's good. But I remember a similar stretch for us in 2018. Then we stunk it up bad to finish that year I think our secondary is way better than 2018 but we have no Q.Williams. should be interesting how we finish

Seem to be making improvements, better angles and making some big plays / creating turnovers helps mitigate some of the poor tackling etc. that still seems to be an issue. Kentucky drove the ball consistently early, but didn't convert into points and we haven't really played a goods offense to see where they are at IMO.

I am a little more confident we won't get torched for 50+ again, and hope they have taken a major step forward - but I think time will tell.

We have the best defense in the conference per multiple statistical measures right now. In the SP+ we’re second in the conference only to UGA, but I would say our defense is actually playing better than theirs is right now and that Ole Miss game is what’s bringing us down. Probably would be a different result if we played them again but that’s now how it works so whatever

I don’t know exactly what to blame the improvement on, but I suspected earlier in the year we’d take some lumps and time/reps would be the medicine. LSU won it all last season with a defense that wasn’t elite by any stretch, but they did just enough to keep other teams from keeping up with that offense. That’s all I think we need essentially

I'm still not a believer. I think we have gotten better since playing OM and we'd probably hold them to more like 28-34 if we played again next weekend, but since then we have faced Stetson Bennett, Gitmo, KJ Costello, and Terry Wilson. That's the worst group of QBs in the conference. If we hold Auburn to 24 or less and don't give them anything easy I'll feel a little better. Their offense is nothing special but we suck at defending misdirection plays and that's basically all Gus does.

I agree. The KY Qbs were as bad as I have seen anywhere.
Kickoff returns is what concerns me. Our kicks are getting weaker and weaker and the barn has a good returner.
