I'm sure LSU fans are ecstatic about their run defense. How good it is probably hits home the most when they see yards-after-catch stats from Saturday.

This is a prime example of why volume stats like this suck. Our run defense shouldn't get credit because our pass defense is so bad State wanted to throw the ball every chance they got.

Why run when you can hit the pass blindfolded? We had a guy from Nichols State who wasn’t on the team a month ago playing the whole game, a scrub too hurt to practice and a true freshman. If the game was 10 minutes longer Costello would have thrown for a thousand.
