Look O'Grady prolly isn't the best guy to use as a barometer, but it is painfully and crystal clear that these players absolutely had zero respect for Chad. He was a total and absolute joke to them.

Players comments certainly reflect that.

I think the players have done a great job of taking the high road here other than the occasional jab at how bad it was.

Morris watched one too many Disney movies and thought he was in Remember the Titans.

Bit off topic but not a good look for O'Grady so far based on NFLPA bowl practice reports

quote:

I detected something different at NFLPA practices and talking with scouts. The coaching staff was hand-holding him-- any time his attention drifted, they called his name and brought him into conversation. They were spending extra time keeping his head engaged. In practice, he was okay but didn't seem to go that hard. In the game, he was nearly invisible against late-round picks, UDFAs. CFL, XFL, and arena league guys. A spoke with numerous scouts and press draft guys and no one had any enthusiasm for him.

Mentally was never 100 percent by all accounts. Hope he proves people wrong and goes to work and makes some money but he has been babied by coaches since high school.

Good thing we all sided with the entitled little shite over Chard, he clearly has his head in the right spot.

quote:

“What Coach Morris came out and said wasn’t all the way true – it’s wasn’t a mutual agreement. I was actually removed/dismissed from the team,” O’Grady shares in the video below. “I decided to, very immature part of mine, after the Alabama game kinda told the coaches I don’t really want to come – my body is sore. Lame excuses, immature. I like to call it the old C.J. I’ve moved past that.”

The old CJ... you know... from 4 months ago.

Poor guy led a privileged life of getting to do whatever he wanted and get away with it throughout his k-12 years. He never learned discipline or accountability. Now he's going to have to learn it in the real world, not the NFL.

Yeah I wouldn't be that confident he won't land with a team. There is a 100% chance he will be on some team's camp this year, and from there if he outperforms their other TEs the NFL has shown time and time again they are more than willing to take on talented headaches. He will be given a chance.

If the Chargers let Hunter Henry go I could see them picking him up.

He can always go play in the XFL and prove he's got a future in football.

He doesn’t have that kind of talent. He’s got the kind of talent that gets you cut with any screw up.
