Would a SEC school hire an XFL coach?

Seems like SEC coaching gig would pay better and be more prestigious. There are some head coaches in the SEC that are about to be fired so the XFL might be the place to look for UCar, Arkie, or Mizzou.

No. The SEC already has better coaches.

Leach will be a huge draw there.

Hard to imagine many SEC schools turning Bob Stoops down.

Stoops on a heartbeat. Proven commodity. Whatever it was that caused him to walk away seems to be resolved.

I wouldn't arbitrarily reject a no-name XFL guy, if he shows something unique or solid.

USFL, back in the day, had some interesting dudes. Some no-name defensive guy won a couple titles there focusing on defense. Jim Mora.

Another took an undertalented Tampa Bandits team and made them competitive with a creative offense; Spurrier.

Yet another took a solid team and ran a crazy offense; and the Run-N-Shoot was spawned.

A place like the XFL might be just the place to try something out that you won't risk in the NFL or at a bigtime college.

That league played good football. There were some legit players in that league. Four HOF'ers Jim Kelly, Reggie White, Steve Young and Gary Zimmerman. They by far had the best product of all of the start up leagues who have tried to make it.
