I was more borrowing the phrasing of iHateCowbells’ post before me. He doesn’t realistically matter for the reasons you’ve said

#MississippiMade is as big of a lie for our football program as it is our freshmen classes though

Hopefully the bagmen will come out with the newfound confidence that comes with hiring allegedly competent coordinators and we have some surprises between now and February

Dannis Jackson will be the only top 10 player in-state that signs with Ole Miss. Byron Young is signing in February and should be the top target. Don't know if he has planned a visit.

There are still some top-20 targets in John Plumlee, Jamond Gordon and hopefully Zach Edwards.

Oh I know that we don't i simply meant that it COULD give us the persona of being able to grab a top guy, even though we see time and time again we haven't done that at all lately

Chad Simmons on Rivals put out a piece reporting that Byron Young and Jamond Gordon will be visiting Oxford this weekend.

Both project at DE in the 3-4. Gordon has already decommitted from Auburn and Ole Miss should be the favorite to sign him. Young will be tough to flip from Bama but he will play here much earlier and they signed a ton of players at his position.

After what happened in December, I'm not getting my hopes up that any marquee uncommitted prospect or flip happens

Well the Sec, Bama and State got what they needed. The went Ole Miss in order to get all many top athletes out of the state that they could. They have been successful for the last 3 years. By handcuffing Ole Miss it gave the top talent 2 options. Go to state or go out of state.

They won, they got what they wanted. The only saving grace Ole Miss may have, is the Rebel Rags lawsuit uncovering the conspiracy between the NCAA, SEC and state.

I would put more money on these 3 colluding against Ole Miss than Trump and the Russians.

Whether or not they can prove it is the problem.

But what happened to Ole Miss was politics. The similarities are uncanny.

Of course it was political they wouldn’t have mentioned our previous two infractions if it wasn’t. Ole miss has been dealing in political bs since I’ve been a fan starting with the flag controversy as the first one I was cognizant of. In fact everything is political. It’s literally in the origin of the word.

This is the one spot we don't have to talk Trump/Pelosi/or a wall. Just leave it at that.

Sure I don’t care about either talk shite about both for all I care. However politics are and have always been a part of ole miss fandom. The sanctions were another facet of it. That was my point.

We’re just all tired of the dems holding Americans hostage with this shutdown

Trump literally gave them a deal they've wanted as a compromise for the wall and they still didn't accept it

I know you’re joking but in all seriousness even the name ole miss is political. Even though our university has done more to atone for our past sins than any sec school we are still the racist university.

Man I know it's so exhausting. I Just don't have the energy to care as much as I once did. Regardless of what is done it will never be enough.

I’ll fight those fights because I’m a jerk and I enjoy condescending folks like that but yes normal people are exhausted

Thankfully, those MS recruits who scattered to outside schools will still be playing for MS in their hearts; and that's what I really matters.
