We could not get them off the field when they had 3rd and forevers. D. Davis played out of his mind. I feel bad for him. Our defense simply couldn’t be worse on 3rd and long all game.

0 pressure on Burrow all game.

I posted this after the game:

Not many people wanted to talk about it.

Overall our defense was really bad given opponent and expectation, #57 was about the only one consistently making plays. #5 as well.

Just watched it on Youtube and HOLY HELL was that Greedy Williams DPI no call terrible. More blatant than any of our calls on the last drive.

On the long TD to cut it to 21-19, #24 Daniel Thomas had about the worst play by an Auburn safety in recent memory. It's like his mind was elsewhere.

Still have no clue how we didn't at least get him out at the 10 on the play.

Also, what in the world was the call on the 4th down? We ran like a super delayed safety blitz that totally vacated the area the pass was caught. I don't have a problem with blitzing but he waited to late to go he had no chance of ever getting there.

I haven't seen it again, but any chance he pulled up because he didn't want to hit the WR and get flagged? Also if Deshaun Davis is 2 inches taller he knocks that pass down..

Deshaun Davis played himself into the NFL. He was dominant. That is the type of game that convinces teams despite the fact that he lacks prototypical measurables.

As much credit as I give Malzahn for recruiting the last few years, the lack of OL and DB (looking better) recruiting has really caught up with us. I didn’t see the lack of pass rush coming though. We really are missing a quick twitch edge rusher so far this year
