Swam the 50 free in 17.63 Previous American, NCAA and world record was 18.11.

Still hoping that awful shoulder tat blossoms into a full blown mccarron... and if i know green cove springs, it will. Impressive af swim, I'm awed and odd.

Was just about to post this. Non-swimmers won't be able to appreciate it, but an 18 second 50 is similar to the 4:00 mile barrier. Incredible swim.

The 20 second 50 is the 4:00 mile
17.63 is like a running back 10 touches for 280 yards and 6 touchdowns. Its ridiculous and will be talked about for years in the swimming world.

Fun filled fact... the coach who quit bama a few days before i left for school was the first high schooler to go sub 20
Can we get on of the banned suits from a decade ago and see what he can do??? Lead off the relay with a 17.8 to start the night... so twice under 18. After sec's i really want him to time trial the 200 im. Baw is nailing his taper. I look forward to the impending sub 40 100 free... and whatever he's gonna do in the 100 breast.

Dude the fact that Dressel is a world class breaststroke now blows my mind. I want to see how does at it in a world champs against the Brit world record holder.
Dressel is going to surprise so man people at the Olympics. He legit could have a 6 gold medal meet if he keeps this up.

Since sophomore year i feel he did breast on the medley relays. The splits were always really good. Mainly it comes down to meet schedule. Ncaa's and sec's are basically crammed into 3 days. 2 back to back events he has crushed american records in tonight, but can only realistically do 1. Which is why he did 200 im at sec's. No chance he was doing it at ncaa's with the 50 right after it. Same thing with 100 breast vs 100 fly. Last year he chose the butterfly.

He could win a legit 6 gold, but possibly 8 with the weak arse mixed relays.
Total sidebar worthy of mention... Indiana's blake pieroni went sub 1:30 in the 200 free leading off the 800 free relay. First sub 1:30 ever and close (same ballpark) to the same realm of unreal as dressel.

Indeed. From the same area and swam for his coaches before they left for uf 2 decades ago

I think I'd rather be in the pool, but just barely lol. I feel like a dick some days about the time the folks put in around the pool deck. Hopefully they'll look back and appreciate what you're doing
