Is separating conjoined twins really that difficult?

I'm just saying, impressive surgeries are done everyday. We seem to think the rare procedure is a pinnacle of medical triumph. There aren't that many ever attempted. Perhaps it's as simple as knowing how to work a saw.

Most are sharing vital organs, someone gonna die.

One would assume that they share one or more vital organs, which I imagine would make any kind of separation incredibly difficult.

IHIOGA the medical community calls that procedure "GEICO surgery," because it's so easy a caveman could do it.

Sometimes it's just not possible to separate the two people. This is the case with Abby and Brittany Hensel who are the best adjusted twins I've ever read about.

Yeah, I would think you would need a coping saw and a keyhole saw.

Why did it take the Manhattan Project so long to split the atom? Can't you just rip it in half?

Depending on where they are conjoined it can be incredibly difficult. Impossible in many cases.
