I know he grew up in Massachusetts, so he's used to shite can weather but his joints have to be protesting those miserable Indiana winters by now.

Obsession noted.
Aggy nagging to get its program up to LSUs level.
Clockwork

As someone who moved south for college and never went back, I can understand this

don’t know how good he will end up being but it’s definitely not a culture type fit
Neither was Saban when LSU hired him.

quote:The first part is true, but not because of the second part. Their SOS has been 16th or higher for the last 5 seasons (during which he's gone 54-9). It's that he knows he'll never get the athletes at ND that he needs to win a title. Simple as that.
Did he start to realize that ND has sort of a self-imposed ceiling due to the fact that they refuse to play anybody?

quote:he did win 2/3 his last 3 years in Division II. So, he has won at the highest level of where he was competing before. He's also had undefeated regular seasons at Grand Valley St, Cincinnati, and Notre Dame. And, he's only being paid $9.5/year. This is a great hire any way you slice it.
He's going to need to win at least three national championships at LSU to warrant that much scratch and he hasn't won his first one anywhere yet.

you’re referring to 74-72, right?

That seems the most logical and likely.

To coach in the NFL…you’re acting like he left because he hated it. It was a pure ambition move.
Stupid take.

No the real answer is that you are just out of shitty internet troll options
You already admitted he is a good coach and now that you see we paid him fair market value you are left with “well maybe some bad news about the LSU program is about to break”
Maybe just stop?
