At this point I'm convinced I blacked out on my couch and we are committing another false start. Really impressive ugly win tonight.

Regardless of the outcome, I didn't agree with playing for a FG in OT

There's no way I would have put that ball in the air if I was Pittman, with how hot Little is.

I didn't like the lay down in the middle of the field on 3rd though. I would have at least called a run to try to get a first and get closer.

Wish we got 7 on the fake punt.

I thought we played to our strengths. Keep it on the ground. Center it as close as you can get and give it to your kicker for a high percentage win.

Bingo... Not saying that we had to throw the ball but second and third down were all about the fg

I would have kicked on 1st down. The risk/reward ratio was too high to try for a TD. Why not just show your kicker that you trust him?

Although I have to say that it wasn't Little who worried me. Kudos to everyone who made the kick possible.

After the interception, Sam was going for the win with Little. That is smart football.

Same. Too many variables in college football, even though Little is automatic.

I probably would have run a regular play on 3rd and 4 down as opposed to just sneaking the ball to the middle of the field to center up the attempt, especially because it was 3rd and manageable.

But I get why they did it, and I’m glad as hell it worked out.

I don’t HATE it when you have a kicker like Little but I still don’t love it. I’m worried that he would have done that even if we had a complete bum for a kicker. Pittman is the most conservative Razorback head coach I can remember at least going back to Nutt.

I didn’t like it in 2003 with HDN and I really don’t like it in 2021 when everyone else has finally figured out that being overly “conservative” is actually reckless. Pittman is still brand new as a head coach so maybe he’ll evolve a bit but that’s the only thing I really do not like so far from him.

What is the point of going second and stopping them from getting the points?

I feel like it would be conservative if we were going to tie the ball game with 3 but we could win with 3. Scoring a touchdown or field goal wins the game.

At the point we got the ball forward we should make the choices with highest percent chance to win the game. Which was 2option or read run plays, 1 sneak, and kick. Why take a single extra risk?

Well that’s why it’s all kicker dependent. It’s ok with a great kicker. If you have a run of the mill crappy college kicker there’s no way I’m settling for a 40 yard field goal attempt when I can try to score with my offense or at least try to shorten the fg attempt.

I also don’t mind the route we went because we got to really find out whether Little can be counted on in that role going forward. It’s nice to know we have a bona fide stud kicker the next three years.

Agreed. I also think it's predicated on how your offense is preforming. I may open it up a little more if they've been moving the ball well.

Last night we did exactly what we needed to in order to win.

I understand your thinking, but I also know we have Cam Little waiting to "kick it through those two deals." That was a Coach Pittman quote from earlier this year

When I saw that we were setting up for the FG, I was 100% fine with it because of Cam Little. The last time I felt this comfortable with a kicker was when we had Todd Wright. I wasn't worried in the least. I knew we'd trot Little out, Coach O would call a TO, and then Little would "kick it through those two deals."

Zack Hocker has been missed. This kid has the chance to move passed him if he keeps it up

It bothered me more when past coaches would would go for the first down, fail to pick it up and put the kicker at a weird angle from the "wrong" hash. Petrino was pretty bad about this and we seen the average chitty college kicker lose games because of this before he landed Hocker. Nutt never had a shitty average college kicker and would do this.

Who had our punter as a big time dual threat out of the backfield?
