Sometimes I don’t think the young folk know how great Atwater was. Maybe it’s the Broncos fan in me but it made me a little sad yesterday to see Alex Collins get a roaring greeting from the fans while Atwater got about as much clapping as the cross country team.

To be fair, I don’t remember him playing at Arkansas either. My first Razorback football memory is the ‘89 Cotton Bowl and I really just remember the fanfare around it rather than the game. I’m die hard Atwater more from his time with my Broncos. That I do remember from growing up. This post was edited on 11/7/21 at 5:30 pm

Atwater is regarded as one of the best safeties in the NFL. He should have been inducted years ago.
