What a win Saturday would mean historically

It means we probably win the SEC
Here is every time we entered the Florida game with a perfect record since 1933 (year the SEC was founded). Final record that year is listed to the side. Years we won the SEC are in bold.
2017 - 13-2
2005 - 10-3
2002 - 13-1
1982 - 11-1
1980 - 12-0
1971 - 11-1
1946 - 11-0
1942 - 11-1
1933 - 8-2
That means 7 of the 9 times we enter the Florida game perfect, we win the league.
Also, our record against Florida when entering perfect all-time (including pre-SEC) is 11-2-1. Pretty good odds if you ask me

Thanks for reminding me of the 2002 game. I remember sitting in my chair staring at the wall for a good 30 minutes after that. God bless Terrance Edwards for the shite he took after that loss.

I could be wrong, because I know they got upset in the NCG, but I just don’t see us beating that Miami team that year.
We could’ve gotten to the NCG even with the loss if the playoffs were around then.

We probably would have made the Playoff in 2012, even with 2 losses, after the way we played in the SECCG.

That 2012 team would have skull fricked Notre Dame for the title. We were 2 yards away from a title. The 2007 team that beat Hawaii in the Sugar Bowl was better than the two loss National Champion LSU team that year as well. UGA or USC would of C won that title in today’s system.

Kentucky will be an insightful game. They beat Florida who lost to Bama. If we win by 14 I will breath easier for Jacs.
