Jason Campbell mentioned in an article this week its very similar. Lots of questions about him coming into that season, going north to play an opponent in a huge hostile environment, pundits discounting the team (particularly Herbstreit, who to his credit apologized to Auburn, the fans, and his family and friends for embarrassing them by picking Tenn).
Feeling very very good about this one.

Totally agree. I think that we are a much better team than people think. I feel like the talking heads are still thinking of us like Gus’ previous teams. This team has better coaching, has better fundamentals, and much better schemes than the older teams. Not taking anything away from Penn St, they are good. But, are they getting the name recognition bump?

It’s different in that we don’t have the men up front now that we did in 04, not remotely close. Losing Newkirk and Truesdale was knives in the back!!!!
That game vs Tenn was one of the first times I can remember us come out and just blow doors off a good opponent.

I’ll be drunker than cooter brown at halftime if we’re up as big as we were vs Tennessee. I haven’t been this excited for a game in a long while
