#1 is either LSU or Ohio St. Only P5 program in their state that’s loaded with HS talent. Tradition, fan support, facilities, etc.

A&M is around 15-18 realistically. Move Oregon up above Ole Miss and I'd put the Aggys there at 16. Could make an argument that Penn State is probably a better job. Tennessee is also too high.

I'm responding to your dumbass post, dumbass. You're the one saying Alabama is only at the top spot due to Saban.

The 2nd amendment must be a big factor in Pete Burn's formula.

LSU and Kentucky football are pretty comparable these days

But it is.
And Oregon?
Hell yes, Oregon. They can recruit just as well as USC, they have excellent facilities, and with Nike they have access to more money than God. They pay Cristobal as much as Helton was making. And you don't have to live in fricking Los Angeles. Throw in the fact that at Oregon you're not looking up the arse of a cross-city rival that is in far better shape currently.
Don't just laugh. Make a case for your position. Nothing I just said is even debatable. Throw in the fact that for some years now, Oregon football has put a better product on the field and is better positioned for the future.

That Texas job has been open 3 times in the last 8 years and has been filled with Charlie Strong, Tom Herman and Steve Sarkesian. That's all you need to know about how good this job it is.

Well then folks. It’s not debatable.

Tied for #36 nationally in salary at only $4,000,000.
That's what we paid Saban 15 years ago.
So no.
What’s your point? That we didn’t pay more than what we needed to? If we have an opportunity to hire/retain a proven elite head coach we will pay top money no question.

So were they at the top prior to Saban ? Would they be at the top without Saban and would Saban be at the top without Alabama ? I think most have a strong feeling about that issue.

They were all fruit of the month club members. Like it or not, UT becomes more desirable by joining the SEC.

How is Bear Jr these days ? We know Drummond blocked him from overseeing Saban and his wants. Where is Drummond today ?

He ignores LSU and lists Georgia, but LSU has everything UGA has without the other schools that surround UGA going after in state talent.
UGA is academically better with closer proximity to a major business city (Atlanta) and a recently weaker division to compete in. If you can recruit, it’s a state where there is so much talent (as well as proximity to NC and FL) that it really doesn’t matter that you’re fending off other programs (so long as you don’t whiff in the top guys in-state).
You can certainly win with Louisiana/Texas talent but the administration and politics are a total nightmare and the fans are Tennessee level vitriolic (UGA fans can be harsh but we aren’t THAT bad)

No expectations. At the pro level, San Diego fits this perfectly and it's a great place to live.

All the things a College recruit look for.
