What to expect from Ohio St this year?

They are starting a redshirt freshman QB who has one career pass attempt. Everyone’s acting like they are easily Top 5 but I could honestly see them being a 2 loss team this year.

Tear thru a schedule that they grossly out talent only to lose to a better team in the playoffs. Maybe lose one to Indiana or Purdue along the way.

Does OSU have a team on their schedule with comparable talent? I could easily see them finishing with a top 5 record off schedule alone.

I hope they drop a couple. I know one thing, Michigan won't beat them. Michigan sucks.

I mean maybe, but after Oregon I don't think they even have a slightly challenging game until near the end of October.
I am not sure I can see two teams they could lose to.

They'll probably have delta sweep through, play decently in their 6 games, and let the committee usher them into the playoff.

No but if you have a bad QB you can lose a lot of game’s regardless of the rest of the team. It all really depends on Stroud.
Bad game from him and I can see them losing to Minnesota, Oregon, Indiana and Penn St

Depends on how quickly the defense gets in their groove with several new starters and inexperience. Oregon is next week which will be tough but I don’t see any other losses on their schedule.

I don't think Oregon beats them, but it is probably their biggest test tbh.

Get blown out by Bama in the Orange Bowl.

Tune in Thursday night to find out
CJ Stroud is going to impress a lot of people I think.
Also they have a freshman running back TreVeyon Henderson who from all reports out of Columbus is better than Maurice Clarett was as a freshman.
Their receiving core is the best in the country and there really isn't a close second.
Really depends on the defense. All new starting linebackers (thank god after that debacle in the NC game).
Just ready for some football!

Ohio State’s former WR6 is A1abana’s current WR1
They’ll be good.

They out talent everyone on their schedule by a lot. Not unsimilar to Alabama vs. SEC for most part, although I'd argue at least there are some teams closer in talent to Bama in the SEC than anyone is in the B10 to OSU. Actually a fair number of teams closer in talent in SEC to Bama than B10 teams to OSU:
2021 College Team Talent
OSU is #3 overall, #1 B10
The next best B10 team is Michigan at #15 with PSU at #16 then no other B10 team in the Top 20.
SEc has:
#1 Bama
#2 UGA
#4 LSU
#7 UF
#8 A&M
#14 AU
#19 UT
Just as a comparison of Top 20.

UGA managed to hide a QB and still finish top 5 and top 10 in the SEC. I see no reason why OSU can’t do it with their schedule. Outside of Oregon, they don’t have many challenges.

This. I don't know if there has ever been a more talented wide receiver room. Only one ball though.

They have the best WR corps in modern history according to 247...
Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson ..... 1st team all-americans..... Jaxon Smith-Njigba, one of the most prolific receivers in Texas big school football. Then you have Julian Fleming (#1 last year,)Emeka Egbuka (#1 this year) and a really refined newcomer named Marvin Harrison Jr. That is not even including a high 4* (jayden Ballard). Man alive, no wonder jameson Williams transferred to Alabama. . 4 of those guys are 5*s. Cj Stroud and another 5* in Kyle McCord backing him up....Not to mention Quinn Ewers will get some mop-up duty.... Their mammoth OL is near the top with 4 5*s. Defensive their freshmen edge rushers were the 3rd and 4th overall rated players on 247 composite (Jack Sawyer and JT Tuimoloau) who will probably back up their 2 5*s at that position....Talent everywhere..... Yeah, they'll be good. Brian Hartline is out of this world
