Did you go to a school that has a good football team? I went to Graves Co. High School in Mayfield, KY. One state title game, 1 regional title
Our cross town rival is Mayfield. Uhhhhh
1. 12 state titles
2. Second winningest program in the state
3. 4th winningest program in the country.
3 of the top 5 winningest football teams are from Kentucky.
1. Valdosta, GA
2. Louisville Male
3. Washington (Massillon, OH)
4. Mayfield
5. Ft. Thomas Highlands

My alma mater (Kansas City, MO area) competes in 6A (largest class) and has won 1 state championship. Handful of finals appearances…recently started to pump out some P5/NFL talent (which Mizzou has missed on all of
)

We have Philip Rivers and a handful of state championships. That's about it.

Are you using all time wins? Because these schools just started football long before the others in most cases. Valdosta just cheated their asses off better than anyone in the state for a long time

Riverside Academy (Reserve,LA). Previous 2A now in 1A. My senior year we were still competing in 2A and we won the school’s only LHSAA football title (played in 4 total). We always had a good program but had to play John Curtis every year in the quarter finals before they went to the catholic league (5a). Previous to joining the LHSAA we were in the LISA league which was a league created for private schools when they started integrating the public schools. We won about 8 football titles in that league.

1 state title for my HS. A handful of state runner ups. Routinly put 2-5 guys in D1 each year. Has one guy in the NFL right now.
But when I played we were dog shite those yew years.
Made the playoffs and got smoked in the 1st round my sophomore year, then 5-6 and 4-7 my Jr and Sr year.
We were getting our arse beat so bad in that playoff game, my skinny arse subbed in for the guy who would later play a few downs in the SEC (before injuries) at half time playing Free Safety.

Indianola academy in indianola,Ms
They’ve won their division like the last 5-6 years with 3 or 4 state championship appearances. Think they won 2.
They were a powerhouse in the 70s with like 6 state titles. IA and Jackson Prep were the top 2 programs back then then IA lost a lot of students when 3 textile mills shut down in the 80s plus other academies nearby started growing. The athletes who led them to their recent success were the kids of the ones who won at IA in the 70s. Lot of the same last names. Good genes I guess

Not really. Only 5 playoff appearances and 7 winning seasons since they started playing varsity in 98.

I went to Mary G. Montgomery in Semmes, AL. Never came close to a championship. Ralph Staten is probably our best known(
) alum.
Honorable mention: Steve Hartley was recruited to Bama, broke his leg coming out of the tunnel for A-Day, never played a down for Bama.

Hoover High School
They've gone 11-5 in State Championship games since the year 2000 at the highest classification in Alabama
When I was a student there the football team was ranked #1 by USA Today at one point, and MTV filmed and aired 2 seasons of a reality show about our football team.

And 15 years later Probst is back on reality TV even after getting fired.

Catholic roots made Louisville (SIN) and Cincinnati (NKY) football incubators for a century or so.

Avondale High School (Blue Devils)
Avondale Estates, Georgia (NE Suburban Atlanta)
Colors: Navy Blue & White
Graduated 1970
Famous Grads: Country music star, Bill Anderson...actor, singer, Donald Glover...actor Dorian Missick
Avondale High School was like a small college...huge and a spread out campus located in a very wealthy Atlanta suburb of Avondale Estates. Limousines dropping off their kids at the front instead of them riding the school buses. I wasn't one of them.
**Many athletes went on to compete at the collegiate level. Probably the most famous was Charles Dudish, QB in class of 1967...recruited by over 200 schools around the country, ABC-TV did a national TV one-hour special all about him and his recruitment. He decided on Georgia Tech (yuck)...the pressure of all the limelight and to succeed got to him and he bombed out as an athlete at GT. Today, he lives in suburban Atlanta with a great family and lots of stories to tell.
**National Champions - 1963 (unscored upon during the entire run of the state playoffs)
**3-time state champions
**4-time state runner-up (to Valdosta twice)
**Winningest football program in the state of Georgia from 1958-1980
**Undefeated regular season every year 1963-1967
**Never lost more than 1 game in a season from 1958-1970
**Never lost a home game at Death Valley (yes, the name of our stadium) from the 1950's until 1968 and not again until the mid-1970's.
**No losing seasons in the history of the school except the year it opened in 1951 and not again until the 1990's.
Beginning in the 1990's, due to enrollment decline from its high of over 3,200 students down to about 1,000, our storied program declined and went downhill.
Avondale High was a very tough school, academically speaking (college prep). We excelled state-wide in many sports, too, winning state titles. Sadly, Avondale High closed its doors for good in 2011 which was a big shock to me and all the alumni. It is missed.
Avondale opened in 1951. In 1955, during the week before classes dismissed for the summer break, a major fire broke out and leveled the school. It was re-built in time -- of course! -- for classes the following September.

They are pretty good now, they were awful when I was in high school. People went to see the band, not the football team. Besides, football was played on Saturday. It wasn't that Friday night stuff.

Richard King HS in Corpus Christi, TX.
It’s absolute garbage in football. When I was there, they made it to the third round of the playoffs off of back to back district titles. Even so, that simply meant they were one of the final 16 left in one of class 5A’s two divisions. That’s as good as they have ever been.
School opened over 50 years ago and has made the playoffs about 10 times, getting past round 1 five times. It’s a shitty FB school in an area of the state that is not an FB hotbed.

For such a small town with a school that didn’t recruit we did alright. I played for Luther Welch in the brickyard. The town had 5,000 souls but the country added another 20,000 and the town shutdown for home games.
It was pretty cool to see the alum come help out. Eddie Lee Ivey always had family on the team. Ray Guys son was a couple classes behind me but he came around every so often, as did Chris Mohr. We put a bunch of guys in college programs and well after me they had 3 kids in the SEC at the same time.
I was a booster for years and use to really enjoy the camaraderie of highschool football in a small town. An injury only allowed me to play one year under Welch and Burnett but I have great memories and friends off that team.
I played 2 sports in college but they were not the big sports and it was a small school. Just not the same.

Centreville, VA. 6A and won state my senior year. Ended up having something like 5 NFL players on that team. No team scored a single point in regular season on us.
