If you are lied to, left in the dark, and agreements were not honored, then you bet your arse we are going to do something about it, bitch. Only a pussy would sit back and take it.

So what is your backup plan for when this coup fails to chop off the king's head?

How was A&M lied to and left in the dark? Because one reporter from Austin said so?

And what written agreement has been broken?

Sounds like you care more about your own feelings than what is best for aTm. Explain how exactly going independent or to another conference would benefit aTm more than staying in the wealthiest, best conference where you get to play all your rivals?

All they care about these days is record, not SoS. Being in a tougher conference and losing a bunch of games is worse than being in an easy conference and going undefeated or only losing 1 game.

How many times would Oklahoma have made the playoffs thus far if they were in the SEC? Probably 0.

How many times would Georgia have made the playoffs thus far if they were in the Big12? Probably more than 1.

And if they go to the 12 team format, then it's really more beneficial.

If they actually gave a shite about SoS, maybe then being in the "Top Conference" would be a benefit, but until then for most teams it's not.

Look at Clemson. Easy road every year.

What makes people being in the tough conference matters anymore? That went out the window after the BCS.

was it not reported by Heather Dinich and others that A&M wasn’t left in the dark?

The A&M AD said there had been no discussion among ADs.

Another report said that it had been in talks for 6 months.

So this is something Sankey and ESPN have been working on for 6 months behind the backs of at least A&M, if not many other ADs. Probably been going around making promises to AD's at other schools to get enough votes where A&M wouldn't matter while not telling them. All of which were kept in the dark prior to whatever time they were added.

Pretty obvious something like this doesn't happen overnight. Especially not to the degree in which this has apparently progressed.

Sankey should be fired.

You really think the conference commissioner spent 6 months going behind the back of a single SEC school to make this happen?

The A&M AD directly said they had not been told anything about it.

At the same time, reports are saying it's been in the works for 6 months.

Snakey is what this conference deserves. He sold it to ESPN, and his new orange masters. I’m going to sit back and laugh when you are all scratching your heads trying to figure out what happened in a few years

He needs to take that up with his school president then. Every single SEC school president has been part of this process all along.

Multiple reports support both claims (i.e., A&M brass knew/didn’t know).
The truth remains to be seen, yet folks are selectively using information that best fits their own personal agenda.

That is 100% exactly what the Texas A&M AD said.

So either he is lying, which I doubt he is, or they were kept in the dark.

Btw, is it not obvious to everyone that ESPN is behind all this?

It's basically what every report has said

Again, how do you know all other SEC schools knew what was happening?

The facts simply aren’t out.

So you would rather lose $50 million a year in revenue and any chance of actually winning a national championship than be in a conference with Texas?

Sounds rational.

To be fair, no one WANTS to be in a conference with Texas.... Their big money boosters are CFB's equivalent of the Cabal.... I'm sure most fans would rather they stay where they are...
