The PAC12 has historically been resistant to having religious affiliated schools. Baylor may have a hard time, TCU as well, although they are not as visible as Baylor.
I can see Texas Tech having a better shot and Oklahoma State. KU I think goes to the BIG10 as does Iowa State, both meet the Big 10 desire for all members being AAU schools, which is research designation related to Medical and Science Research$
Kansas State might get in the PAC getting them to 15.

Apparently are having discussions with the B1G. Kansas boards on 247 brought up the Vandy stuff.
Well the only thing about Vandy is that they are in Nashville, which is experiencing a population boom. In the next 10 years, it is going to look like Metro Atlanta in terms of population. The level of HS talent is growing given that population growth.
The BIG10 courting Vandy could be to give it a footprint in an historically SEC state and thus help them with recruiting in Nashville and bordering states, GA, AL, MS, etc.
I saw where the SEC is holding the 2023 media days in Nashville, might be a preemptive move by Sanky to head this off, don't know if true, but smart move none the less by Sanky

as does Kansas..

Those 3 if Penn State bolts might be the right answer. Not sure how the SEC would respond..
West Virginia & Oklahoma State?

Not really. The last realignment, the BIG was gunning for the DC and NYC media markets. Now it's shoring up it's western flank in Kansas and Iowa? Come on.

If MIZZOU goes to the BIG 10, which I think they tried before and VANDY leaves the SEC, that leaves the SEC at 14 again (with Texas and OU).
I don't know where the SEC would go. Some media outlets have indicated the SEC has contacted Clemson and UNC about joining the SEC, that might be related to what you are suggesting, MIZZOU does not want to be with Texas (that is why they left) and Vandy might see the BIG10, which has a similar type school in Northwestern, as a better fit given the SEC is going to have a football league that looks like a semi-pro league, if we are honest.

I would not trust that source. The SEC doesn't want lawsuits and won't reach out to anyone first. That was the policy under Slive and I don't know why that would have changed. It is like how there were rumors about some schools not wanting A&M and Missouri but the vote was reported as unanimous.

Serious question; What makes Kansas more appealing than UCONN? Both are terrible football schools with great basketball programs. Furthermore, the Big 10 is a great basketball conference already. With the SEC adding Texas and OU, they need to improve their football conference fast more than worrying about basketball. How would adding Kansas help with that?

Saw someone breaking down some math on who the big ten could accept if it chooses to expand and the gist is the market has to be worth over 55 million or else it will hurt the rest of the schools. A lot of these schools in the big 12 are't worth it and bring nothin to the table. Reading through that makes me think schools like Iowa State and even possibly Kansas will get stuck in leagues like Mountain West.

Nashville is growing but let's not get carried away. Atlanta metro has 3x the size of Nashville (6 million vs 2 million) and both are growing at roughly the same rate (15-20% per decade). And the level of talent coming out of Atlanta is wildly better than Nashville both in total numbers and per capita numbers. The hipsters and retirees moving to Nashville are not exactly producing the future football talent of the SEC. They are more likely to make their kids play soccer.
I won't go crying if Vandy wanted to leave. We would not lose the Nashville market if they left just like we didn't lose Atlanta when GT left.
