I think it's pretty much understood that no matter how badly they abuse Texas on the field, OU will continue to be their bitch off the field. They'll go as Texas goes. So the talk of expansion is naturally centered on Texas.

Honestly, on a fan per fan basis, I'd rather have Texas fans than OU fans.
I say this as someone who has spent most of his life in DFW and western Arkansas.

MU's market value in the TV contract is much greater than OU's. Aggies is even greater. OU is an attractive add based on their fan base and great tradition I'll give you that.

Nah, I’m not concerned about them joining. They seem to have a Tennessee aspect to them, where there’s too many chiefs and politics, and they end up screwing themselves for decades, despite having plenty of resources.

Oklahoma makes sense. They're a strong program. They introduce a new state/footprint. Culturally they're a decent match. They're not here to take over. They didn't murder multiple conferences.

OU has been carrying a dead conference on their back for close to a decade, while in the meantime Texas has been actively killing that very same conference
