He threw hundred plus pitches Friday and then they trotted him out Monday to secure the regional. They will blame Cohen for making them play Friday instead of Saturday and they had to pull him early because he was gassed in that 104 degree weather.

To rest Doug. You can’t win the series in game one either way.

Ok. Just curious. And surprised he's not out there.

We had the same thing happen with our ace and he won't start until Sunday.

What’s the point throwing him tonight? He’ll throw tomorrow.

He'll start for us tomorrow and then we try to piece together a plan for Sunday if/when we get there.

We are losing this game mainly due to hitting. Not our pitching.

Ole miss should have tried their hardest and pitched their ace tonight. Arizona's 2 best left handed pitchers are suspended for this series, so their depth is a bit shaky. Ole miss has to win this game tonight or I don't see them beating Arizona 2 straight games.

This isn’t a one game series….

It doesn’t matter what his pitch count was and when he pitched.

I went to the LSU Tulane Super Regional years ago. LSU won the first game and lost the series. It was hot as balls.

Well, that may be true. However, facts say that the winner of the first game of a 3 game series wins it much more often than the loser of the first game.

A fan of a 15-36 baseball team that got swept by the Kansas schools would make this thread. Missouri save their entire team for the offseason?
