Didn't even get through OTAs...damn. Feel bad for the kid. Should have never come back for his final year.

I mean if I'm a gm, I want zero part of anyone that opted out, unless it was a serious situation.
Winners and good teammates don't opt out.

He wasn’t ever NFL good.
Darren McFadden was an average NFL running back.
They’re just a dime a dozen.
And I’m starting to really really not give a shite about players in the NFL being good from our team. Let’s try to be competitive in the SEC. First things first.

I don't feel bad, he's lucky to have many chances.

McFadden was a north and south runner and ran into a lot of piles in the NFL. In other words he wasn't a smart runner.
I think work ethic might be a problem for Boyd.

McFadden seemed to either break a nice run, or get caught for a loss in the backfield. Couldn't seem to make a defender miss him if he didn't get a head of steam up.

He found success in Dallas when he finally got out from behind Oakland's terrible line, but he really only had enough gas for one year at that point.

Jamarr Chase was the 5th overall pick

Jamarr Chase is far and away the exception not the rule.
His talent and performance the year before exceeded all the others sitting out and prepare for the draft decision could dream about doing.

Fair. Just the chest thumping in the Rant is over the top.

I don't know about that. The average NFL running back might barely see the field. DMac actually had a pretty strong and long (by RB standards) NFL career. 5000+ career rushing yards and a couple of 1000 yard + seasons. Maybe would've had more if he could've stayed healthy but injuries are going to happen at that position.

Indisputably the best razorback ever.

I would go with either Dan Hampton or Lance Alworth.

Over the guy that should've won the Heisman and was runner up twice. Nah

Both had more decorated careers in the NFL by a lot.
