What is the point of a board if everything is discussed in megathreads?
The front page of discussion topics should be lively, and naturally refresh every 2-3 days. This is how a forum should be run.
Similar to tRant.
Why is the Alabama forum tarded up with "megathreads"?
The same discussion topics have been on page 1 for months. This place used to be completely lively, and interesting. Today it's dull and boring.

I don't have any comments on the positives and negatives of the megathreads, just that it is usually a losing argument when you say something should be run like tRant 
.

It's a lot more fun than this boring place. I spend most of my time looking on tRant, because there are new topics generated daily.

What is the point of a football megathread when 90% of the discussion on here is about fooball anyway?
All that basically does is ensures that 90% of posts will now be inside of a megathread, which is retarded.
I mean this can turn into a joke thread, but I'm pointing out something that's actually ruining this board.

Pretty sure this board gets significantly more traffic than any other team board besides the Tiger Rant, so it seems to be working just fine.

Um, yes. We have an off-season basketball thread that is a month old that is already 2,000 posts and 100 pages long.
Football is far from the only thing discussed on this board.

The point is that 90%, maybe 70% now, of what people do on here is talk football.
This board is for talking football. We don't need a Football megathread.
Maybe we should have an Alabama Golf megathread, or swimming megathread, but we don't need an Alabama football megathread.
Does that make sense?

Ironically, this thread is generating more of a discussion outside of a megathread than this board has seen in a long time.
