I throw Saban out because most of the people who dislike him feel that way simply because he beats their team. Winning 90% of your games will do that.

But Saban aside, who is the most disliked?
Current coaches only please. Leave Phat Phil outta this.

I say Merlins but I want to hear what tRant thinks.

Seems like a perfectly offseason type of topic to me.

Everyone always hates our coaches. Even me.

Mullen. He never takes responsibility for his losses and always has an excuse. He blames his players for everything and drinks Bud Light Lime.

Disregarding new hires, it has to be Mullen, right? After a few years I expect Huepel to nab the crown. I don't have anything against him but I expect UT to make him crazy, and not in a good way.

LSU coming strong in this field.

Disliked by other fanbases: I think Wade edges out Mullen, at least for now.

Disliked by own fanbase: I don't think anyone comes near Mainieri at LSU. Granted, it's baseball, not football or basketball; but LSU is one of those schools where the fanbase treats baseball like it's on the same level as the other 2 sports.

Football, I'd have to go with Mullen. Just something arrogant and condescending about him, but without the resume to back it up.
As for the rest, Saban's been a prick since before his LSU days, but he has produced. You have to take the bad with the good.
Jimbo generally is pretty inoffensive, got humbled a few times.
Orgeron has potential to be, lotta con artist in his blood, but there's times you just love the big oaf. Tennessee game in the rain, etc.
Kirby's too boring, Leach is too quirky, most of the rest are too bland to stand out.

Kiffin at Ole Miss has definite potential, as we've seen in the past. If he elevates that program, he will be unbearable; if he craters it their own fans will want to lynch him. Hell, both might happen.

Bammers don't like Coach O because he said some mean swears in his own locker room about them.

Jimbo Fisher and I’d argue he may be more hated than Saban. Jimbo Fisher is just a fricking scumbag with no redeeming qualities.

EDIT: How is it possible I’m the first one to bring up Jimbo Fisher?

Message Board Geniuses took an interest in our little thread here and conducted their own poll.

Merlins won the poll but Saban came in a respectable 2nd.

For football, it’s gotta be Mullen. I don’t think Kirby is well liked either.

Most liked by other fan bases has to be O, Leach and Lane.

This is easy, if I could get away with it. I'd publicly drown Muschamp in gasoline and have a cigarette. I'd wager that the average Florida fan would help me buy the gas.

I can see how Will Wade has ruffled some feathers but I’m not ever going to fault a coach in college basketball for cheating until the NCAA changes a lot of rules. They get paid a great deal of money to win and win quickly in a landscape that is riddled with corruption.

Mullen’ just comes off as self absorbed, entitled and socially awkward individual. Coach least likely to enjoy a beer with kinda vibe.
