G Kon Knueppel, Sept. 8-10

Kon is going to enjoy his campus tour a lot more then Asa. Luckily Asa has been in Orlando for awhile, so he'll be used to it being hotter than hell. But for a kid from up north, it's really good he's not coming here in early August. He might die.

Herbert Jones elected to USA Select Team, reference: Twitter, BamaHoopsSZN. I wanted to give my reference. I hope that is not inappropriate.

Also, same source, Gerry Hamilton has crystal balled Aiden Sherrell, 6'11'' center to Bama.

Too bad he's not visiting in late November when there's snow on the ground in Wisconsin and you can wear jeans and a t shirt during the day in Alabama.

Alabama Basketball Newcomer Breakdown: Jarin Stevenson (SI)

Stevenson looks to be an instant-impact addition after reclassifying from the 2024 recruiting class.

On the 2 clips they posted of Stevenson playing defense, the second one, where they showed a block, was kinda funny. It looked like a slow walk on trying to take it straight at him. If he didn't block that shot, then Oats would've pulled his offer. It's like they took the first clip of him making any block, and used it to highlight his post defensive skills. I know it's basically a fan blog, but it was still kinda funny.

This probably wohld have happened if Walton had still been committed here. Walton and Quinerly are cut from the same cloth, I think we’re better off without either.

He should have used clips from AAU.
Stevenson's defense on Team United was incredible.
Since he was taken off the AAU team due to reclassification, their team defense has fallen apart.

Really hoping he's Clowney 2.0 for us even if it's only defensively. Offense will take care of itself, but we are clearly at our best when we are a strong defensive team.

I've seen his highlights reels, and he does look very good, especially in transition. But I just laughed that they posted the easiest block in the world as an example. And I saw it right as I was thinking that si fan sites were starting to give me detailed analysis. But those guys don't get paid shite (or maybe at all), so I understand the rush to put someone together.

I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what he can do.

That looks like more than 11 pounds. Hopefully Walters is also gaining size.
