Haven't been able to find any numbers - have they not been published?

Thought it was crazy that Heupel was hired by UTee last night and his contract deets are already on tRant...

Seems like the details would have been leaked by now. Makes me think its an absurd contract and our people are waiting for the perfect time to release it

I doubt it. I’m guessing $3 million a year, tops.

Heupel is making 4. I imagine Harsin is making roughly the same, maybe a little bit more.

I was figuring more like $5 million a year for 5 years, give or take. What I was really curious about were the buyouts. The fact that Jimmy Sexton is not involved in the negotiations is comforting

I also wonder if he's actually signed anything yet. Seems like it would be impossible for it not to be public record after his name is on the dotted line...

He’s also knowingly coming into a dumpster fire with NCAA sanctions on the horizon.

I know nothing official has come out, but I recall one of the beat writers a few weeks ago saying they thought it to be around 5 years 27.5M. So since it was an insider, Probably nothing close to that lol.

It’s not chump change when you were previously making less than $1 million

When was he making less than $1 million? He was set to earn $1.95 million in 2021 at Boise.

His contract is somewhere in the $4-5 million range.

Thats just not how things work baw. No matter what he was making, a job pays what it pays. Set by the market.

Thats like saying The Jones gets a job as a brain surgeon and he only gets 70K per year since he is only making $7.90 per hour now at McDonalds.

It pays what the market brings. I have no idea what he is making but my guess would be 4-5 mil per year and yes, he probably has a decent buyout

Will the same people that did the contract for Gus be doing this one?

Harsin stacked.

Look, I’m not paid what a brain surgeon is (or Coach Harsin). But my life is dope. And I love McDonalds.

And as an economist (by training):

I don’t know what all this means but God bless this country, Auburn, and coach Harsin, and War Eagle

Before Eddie O won the NC, wasn’t his pay around $2 million? I just hope it’s not absurd, and we’re stuck if he turns out to be a flop. Like with Gus and his contract.

Market rate moron thinking at its finest folks.

There is plenty of demand for this job to lower the price. There is actually little reason why coaches are paid what they are paid if you truly go by "the market."

Yikes

You don’t seem to realize that it’s the schools that are on the “demand” side and the coaches on the “supply” side in this equation, do you?

One day you will be mature enough to get it.

I mean you are living it now. You are earning what you are worth. But I’m sure you budget that 35,000 per year well.
