The same 4-5 teams every year. The same stale matchups.

Oklahoma and/or Notre Dame somehow sneak in every year as a sacrificial lamb when there are many more deserving teams.

It’s a boys club. No doubt about it. It will force them to expand

Dont really think the playoffs are to blame for that.

It’s not stale when you’re one of the 4-5.

Well, don't suck. Sorry not sorry.

Also, LSU and Georgia (in addition to Alabama) have been to title games in the last 4 years.

Paradoxically, expansion would bring in 2 loss Bama, Ohio state, etc.

BCS was better.

Win all your games.

Don’t depend on a “committee” to “select” your team.

Win division, win championship.
Make them take you.

There’s way too many bowls anyway. Who cares.

Their system was VASTLY better for team selection.

Use the BCS system to select the 4 playoff teams and there's no problem at all.

Well if you listen to Coach Meyer, if you don't expand the playoff, the sport of College football, already in trouble, will suffer more. Go listen to his commentary on the subject on Fox's pre-game show. I think their pre-game is actually better than ESPN's.

Okay. Let’s just throw some random 2- and 3-loss teams in there just for variety’s sake.

No need when you have 1 loss SEC teams and undefeated G5 teams ready to step in when the top 4 fall flat in the final week of the season. Apparently the last week doesn't matter. Committee had their minds made up a month ago.

Brady Quinn and Matt Leinart are like 2 blocks of wood. Urban is really good though when not talking about OSU.

Its turned into a network and who will watch the game. TAM got screwed, but the committee is influenced by the networks.
They thnk people want to see ND who sucks every year and OSU who is overrated every year play in the CFP. They think more people will watch the games.
They need to expand it and take out the network factor

Well I like Reggie Bush and Meyer to me is the best Pregame guy out there hands down. So 1 Meyer to me beats Herbie and Desmond. I think the UGA guy is more of a UGA homer than Ginger at the SEC network., well he has now moved on to ESPN color commentary totally.

So I agree with you about Matt and Brady, but just having Urban there makes it the best show in terms of analyzing teams, the state of College football, etc. Just my view.

Tired of the same 4-5 teams?

Beat them more than once in a blue moon in the regular season.

Granted, tough regarding Clemson since no one in the ACC remotely is close to them talent wise...1 team conference.

As the old gypsy curse goes, "May you receive your heart's desire." Sometimes when you get what you want you find it really isn't what you wanted after all. Everyone wanted a playoff because it would be a more legitimate means of determining the best team, and so it is. That is because it allows top teams to recover from losses that would have kept them out of the BCSCG. By the old system things wouldn't feel so stale. I'm selfishly happy the playoffs are around because Bama has obviously benefited from it, but I do miss the BCS and think it was a superior system for college football.
