With the Big Ten rules, this would put him out of the Big Ten title game & the first round of the playoffs. I find it hard to imagine it’s just him, if true.
Now this is not confirmed by anyone but some posters on a buckeye message board & random people on Twitter, but it’s worth keeping an eye on.

I am just hoping the committee puts more weight on playing a full schedule vs the 5 to 6 games OSU has played. Not to mention of those games they have played one team with a winning record and nearly lost that game

I have zero faith in this
Our only hope is Notre Dame beating Clemson a second time

They already have had 3 games canceled. It’s not really that out there. Now will the committee give it to them even with 5 games? Maybe they’re depleted enough where they lose to Northwestern? Or it’ll just be a few guys and they won’t be needed vs Northwestern.

We are talking about millions of dollars in a year that ad’s are hurting already
I’d expect coaches, trainers, players to all NOT do the right thing if they think that will cost osu a playoff spot

With the Big Ten rules
The Big Ten has proven they will change the rules to benefit Ohio State. I imagine they will do the same in this situation. They'll conveniently decide to finally follow the CDC guidelines when it comes to positive tests and contact tracing.

Yep. frick ohio state. I didn't think I could hate those fricks any more than I already did as a Michigan fan, but this year takes the cake.

Nah. We could look good against UT while ND loses by three scores.

I don’t think that is going to be enough.

I think this is very unlikely with a full strength Clemson defense. Would do it... but to me Clemson isn't losing to ND a second time. Just not happening.
Therefore I think our best shot/hope is if Clemson beats ND by 20+ points. Your basic no doubt who is really better type of win. That would probably drop ND out of the playoffs.
Still other things have to go right for us but it all starts one way or the other with the ACC championship.

I really doubt it

I really think AL and ND are pretty much locks at this point. If Clem wins they are in no doubt. That leaves the 4th slot open which I think they will put tOSU in for reasons.
I think our hope is for ND to win or for tOSU to lose.

This aint BAS. This is what I think the committee will do. ND has a fair argument.
It doesn't change how I feel about our team. Which is, we're good, probably not good enough to beat Bama and win it all, but good enough to play ND or Clemson to the wire. They haven't proven shite, but I actually think tOSU is the second-best team. If we somehow get in and we somehow don't get Bama or tOSU then i think we have a decent shot at making the title game.
If I would have told anyone on here before the season started that they'd have laughed at me. I would have laughed at me.

I have a feeling that Clemson is going to beat Notre Dame soundly and that gets us in

I have this feeling as well. I think Notre Dame caught Clemson when they were having a bad day. Talent wise, Clemson is better than Notre Dame. Brian Kelly is a good coach, but not great.
I think ND loses by 14+

It might not but I think this is perhaps our best chance to overtake ND. Much more likely than ND beating Clemson again in my opinion.
Like I said 20+ points... "probably" drops ND out of top 4. Even if ND takes a beating and drops out we still have a 40-50% chance of being left out.
Personally I think we are looking at a NY6 bowl and am planning accordingly.

The committee would excuse it away just like they did with Pitts being out for Florida.

Regardless of whether we make the playoffs, this season could be our best since 1956.
