Looks like the Nick Saban Rehabilitation Clinic for Coaches (NSRCC) graduated itself a good one.

Butch is a Gump now. Best of luck to a five star heart!

I'd cry if I had to coach at ASU too.

Jones became a huge Alabama fan and it was obvious watching him on the sidelines. I hope he does well and I think he will. It's becoming pretty obvious that there is a huge problem at UT. Jones may proved to be a very good coach.

I know people will laugh at him, but this cat humble himself and did basically GA work coming from P5 coaching job. I really do pull for dude like Butch and O to get second chances to learn from mistakes.

I'll be rooting for Butch. Roll Tide, Coach Jones.

It’s great to see these kind of second chances. Good on Coach Saban for continuing to do this ,and good luck to Coach Jones.

I'm really curious as to what his actual role was within the staff.
Everyone makes jokes about him being Saban's bitch, but I very much doubt that was the case. He seemed to have a significant rapport with the players and that doesn't happen to a pseudo-butler.

From what I gathered he was the logistics guy - did a little bit of everything, kept the trains running on time, did projects that Saban wanted done, etc. And the kids loved him.
Hope he does well.

What a bitch. Crying for Bama letting you be an underpaid analyst? Really?

You know he was getting contract buyout payments from UT, right?

Wasn't he winless against Will Muschamp as UT coach? I doubt it.

I hope he does well. It's hilarious to remember back when bama fans hated the guy at tennessee.
