I know it is way too early with no new coach, but I was thinking about the coordinators mainly. They should have just announced Chad Morris was fired along with Gus. He needs to be gone and far away from this program.
If the hire is not Kevin Steele (please don't let it be Kevin Steele), then I think the new coach would have a hard time keeping him around. With Steele's name being so prominently out there with this coaching search, seems it would be pretty awkward for the new coach to keep him in place.

I would maybe try to get Garner to come back unless I could get Tracy Rocker to come back home. Buy yeah, I would get rid of everyone else.
Can you imagine getting some offensive assistants that not only can recruit, but can coach? Wow, that would be like a dream world.

I'm just looking forward to hearing about how our new HC left the room at his first team meeting and then came back in with his shirt off to get everyone fired up.

Garner is the first one that needs to be fired. He quit recruiting 5 years ago. Do you not remember Uga blowing our "DL" 6 yards off the LOS every single play?

Our DL recruiting hasn't been terrible from a stars/rankings perspective. We just have had a ton of busts between Miller, Moore, Bryant, and Moultry.

This season you had Miller go crazy on one of the coaches at practice. Cut from the team. Butler and Burks both had medical issues come up in fall practice. So you had Newkirk and Truesdal playing 60 plus snaps early in the season and no way 300+ pound guys can go hard for 60 snaps. Knock that down to 40 and now we are talking. Just not a good season health wise on the DL especially at DT. By the time Bulter and Burks got healthy enough to play the season was almost done and some of the young guys were getting snaps as well like Walker.
So you look at that list and say G stop recruiting?

Easy. There is an entire year where we didn't sign a single DT. What are you clowns seeing that I can't see besides fake star rankings?
So Garner recruited so well we had to so sign 2 JUCO DTs, in year goddamn 8 of a program, and both got hurt so we are screwed? That is the premise of your argument.

Totally agree the new coach should choose who he wants and the entire AD should be behind him and support and pull in one direction together. No more of the one foot in one foot out support.

If I had to guess Caddy and T-Will. Recruiting. May coach different positions but if I had to guess those 2 would be the ones to keep if any are kept.

The new coach should be free to retain whom he wants esp for DC and AC. The kind of coach we all want has coaching relationships and know who they want and trust to be great recruiters and coaches. This ws one of GM’s bigger weakness. For me Caddy should be kept; McGriff is another one. TWill I heard may be part of the team culture problem I heard but I don’t know what that’s about. Probably being liked and a friend instead of a tougher get in your face coach.
