There were 37 LSU fans that posted a prediction and now we’re expected to believe that’s the sentiment of the entire fan base.
I’d be curious to see how a larger sample of the fanbase picked this season.

Georgia needs to pay close attention as they matriculate to the spread air raid scheme in earnest with the JT Daniel's show. The defense lines up against these spread principles every day in practice. They develop that particular muscle memory. Soon, the defense isn't always working on tackling and wrapping up against runners going downhill in a phonebooth. Repetition has the guys chasing and getting misaligned through constant shifts and motions used to misdirect the eyes, playing fast, and now they are a step behind instead of being able to just cut them off at the pass. Before you know it, even fundamental things that have been second nature aren't so fundamental.
Cheer up, it doesn't have to be as ridiculously bad as Pelini is making it look, but even Aranda was holding his once-vaunted defense together with a brand new set of expectations last season. The second year in these spread concepts and even old fundamentals ingrained in defensive players have melted into organized chaos.
With the spread offense comes the spread defense.

Remember when they thought all of their coaches and players were staying put?

Bingo.....I read an interview years back with Art Briles DC and the guy said they spent all their practice team working on red zone defense since that was the most important. He was all for using the shortened field to aid his defense.
Things have really changed.

Remember when Lsu expected to be great this year?
Very normal for teams that aren't accustomed to being at the top to fall quickly. Kind of like a ham sandwich at a banquet is LSU.
So:
*4 NCG appearances and 3 national championships in 16 years.
*20 straight winning seasons and 20 straight bowl games
*23 out of the last 25 seasons were winning seasons and bowl games - NO TEAM has done that.
*12th all-time nationally in number of NCAA victories
*7th all-time in bowl appearances.
*Perennial Top 5 recruiting classes.
No. We're not accustomed to success.....

Weird thread since anyone can do this with Aggy fans for every preseason prediction thread prior to this season right before the typical Aggy disappointment begins.

Who is more accustomed to winning championships than Alabama and LSU?

That is why ANY fanbase other than Alabama that tries to make fun of LSU has no business talking and knows it.

How will Alabama prevent this?

Are you truly saying that LSU isn't a successful program?
Besides Alabama and Clemson, name a program that has that level of success in a 20 year span.

This is a weird dig since the only thing 2020 LSU was good at was throwing the ball prior to Brennan getting hurt

LSU has AVERAGED 10 wins a season for TWO decades. And won three national championships . Of course a bad year would surprise us . It hasn’t happened to us since The Clinton administration.
Now do Aggie...

You’re averaging 3 wins a year this decade
