Burress also recalls Saban telling MSU players that, contrary to rumors, he wasn't leaving Michigan State for LSU.
"Then the next day, the very next day, Saban said, 'Guys, I'm going to LSU,'" Burress writes. "So that let me know where he was coming from as a person and how loyal he was. … I didn't trust anything he said at that point. Nothing."

Saban is a tool, but let's be honest. Whether its right or wrong,99% of all coaches do that.

Nick Saban is footballs version of Larry Brown

A short-term turn-around manager, similar to these guys...
"It's about the process, not the results."
"Every day, you either get better, or you get worse."
"Your focus should be on trying to dominate your opponent every play, no matter what the score is."
"This isn't my team. This is your team. You players need to take ownership in this program yourselves." (presumably borrowed from Dr. Phil)

If I had someone call me and offer me more money to do my job I'd take it, ya'll would too.

Saban was as loyal to Michigan State and LSU as Miles was loyal to Oklahoma State.

Not always, and certainly not in the same manner. It's okay to be cynical, but don't get carried away with it. Not all people are motivated by the same things.

not without asking my current company to match it first (or even come up with something almost as good - in which I would stay LOYAL).

I think you need to look up the word "loyal" in the dictionary.

I don't think too many people fault the man for leaving for what he thinks is a better job and situation. It's the statements he made, the BS that he spews and the whole lack of honesty and integrity that bothers people.

If people aren't motivated to make more money to provide a better and more secure lifestyle for their family then I don't know what else would motivate them. I agree it could have been handled better but at the end of the day LSU, Bama, Mich St. are just jobs to Coaches. Not so much for us.

Wrong. The way both coaches handled the situation was completely different.
Saban has bungled this job transition every time he has had the opportunity (Michigan State, LSU, Miami and soon to be Alabama). He showed no loyalty to Michigan State (although I don't know what Michigan State gave to him), LSU (who gave him everything he wanted) and Miami (who gave him everything he wanted).
Saban is a classless grifter.

ANd implying that it's the fans and reporters or morons for even thinking he would leave. He did it at MSU, LSU, and Miami.

The vidoe is crystal clear. The reported had Nick hang himself. NS did the same everywhere else.
