re: Need to find a supplement, topical lotion, etc. to heal joint pain ...
Posted by TIGERSby10 on 5/1/25 at 12:59 pm
I'm reviving this thread to tell Don Quixote "Thank You for the recommendation of Turmeric".
This is a game changer for me. After only a week and a half of taking it and taking that long off from running to get my knees feeling better, I'm not only running much longer, but now I don't feel any pain in my knees.
I recommend to anyone having knee or joint inflammation from running/jogging to use turmeric. It allowed me to continue exercising when there was a good chance I was going to cut out jogging due to the pain.

Take a few weeks off. Figure out a different routine, if that is what is making it too monotonous. Try HITT, swithching from cutting/bulking, etc. Even taking in some aerobic exercise for a while, then going back to lifting.

Big bowl filled with ice and a little water. When the ice melts, dumps some water and add some ice. You can do this for at least one week.
re: Is Tyler Shough Derangement Syndrome becoming a thing?
Posted by TIGERSby10 on 5/1/25 at 12:46 pm
I personally don't think he will amount to anything but maybe a 2nd stringer at best. I hope I'm dead wrong, but if you have watched college football and saw him play, drafting him early in the 2nd round is a head scratcher. I would have liked to use that pick on something much better for the team.
I'll be pulling for him, but I don't think there is a 5% chance he is our future starting QB.

Drago's is awesome. Best chargrilled oysters in the world.
re: Who are we rooting for in the Texas/Arkansas series that begins tonight?
Posted by TIGERSby10 on 5/1/25 at 12:40 pm
It's not what SEC finish you get but the National Seed finish. I want to be the #2 or #3 national seed so we wouldn't match up with Texas again until the finals in Omaha.
re: Can you truly change and reshape your body in your 50's?
Posted by TIGERSby10 on 4/30/25 at 12:19 pm
You can definitely change/reshape after 50. It's about a life change and you have to want it (discipline).
I am 52 and was recovering from Stage IV kidney cancer. I balloned up to 240 pounds and was just miserable with how I felt and looked. I had enough. I started eating healthier (not 100% healthy - baby steps) and started exercising. I also started taking vitamin C and D, magnesium, & omega-3.
In just a couple of weeks I started feeling better, and in a couple of months I started to see the results, which gives you more motivation to keep going. It's all about discipline though. You can take a couple of days off or have a cheat meal, but you have to get back to the routine. I also change my routine up every 2 months to help with the monotony, but remember this is a lifestyle change.
If you ever feel like quitting, remember why you started.
I now feel great and I'm in great shape. You don't realizing how much your mental health involves being in good shape.

re: FanSided's Mike Phillips calls Tyler Shough the Saints best pick this year
Posted by TIGERSby10 on 4/28/25 at 12:45 pm
Shough is not going to be a "starting QB" in the NFL. He may get some starts, but he isn't a "starting NFL QB", if you get my drift.
Wasted 2nd round pick

re: When you absolutely had to have it, Jay Johnson had it
Posted by TIGERSby10 on 4/28/25 at 12:38 pm
This wasn't a have to have it series. Winning 1 of the 3 wouldn't have put us in a spiral where we couldn't control our destiny to be a top 8 seed (which is the only thing that really matters).
re: Farm group says ag in full blown crisis

Vegetable farmers are just like crawfish farmers and shrimpers. Complain there won't be good crop or they are going bankrupt to get money from the Govt.
The farmers have made millions of profit, but will complain about one bad year. Don't believe everything (anything) they say.

re: Hearing the NFL is retiring the 144th pick….

I don't know why, but that one went over my head for a second. About the same amount of time Shedur was thought to become a good NFL QB.
re: SuperFlex Rookie Mock Draft
Posted by TIGERSby10 on 4/28/25 at 12:24 pm
We have regular drafts and the only rookies that should get a sniff prior to late round fliers are:
Jeanty
Hampton
maybe Tet
None of the other rookies can score more than an average veteran. This was such a shitty draft year for offense.

re: Perfect opportunity to Tank for Manning. Release all older vets, play as many rookies as
Posted by TIGERSby10 on 4/28/25 at 12:07 pm
Maybe not tank for "Manning" specifically, but tank to the point of getting a top 3 draft pick. There will be 3 worthy QBs that you can decide on when the next draft comes.
I'm 100% in agreement on getting rid of some of the older (more expensive) players, if possible, due to the damn extensions.
We are not winning anything next year, so you might as well stock up on as many draft picks as you can and have a bad record to draft better next year.

love his arm talent. keeps his eyes down field, moves the pocket with his feet, he shows touch on deep passes, out passes, makes quick reads under pressure, athletic enough to run, tremendous size for his athletic ability, age is maturity imo, has that underdog background. I've watched his highlights over and over and i know its only all the good stuff, but i see nothing but a first round talent qb.
But he sucked when he faced stiff competition. All that BS you just typed means nothing if he is playing against Pine Bluff State.

Looked great first 2 games of season before injuries hit. Its not a full blown rebuild, but probably should be. Lot of dead cap space needs clearing out, not extending it down the road.
Don't even need to look great the first two games. We need to get rid of what we kicked down the road for years. Get young through the draft.
Full Rebuild

DO NOT WANT ANY QB IN THIS YEAR'S DRAFT CLASS.
re: Saints QB options for 2025

Why draft a QB that is not even as good as Rattler. Just start Rattler. Finish at the bottom of the league. Gain draft picks. Get your franchise QB next year. Profit.

Breese maybe.
Fuaga was one of several players we would have drafted, if available. In fact, there were a couple of other OTs that we would rather have dropped to us.
Penning was talked about, but no one could have know why we were trading picks to move up to get.
