Yes sir. I see the 1964 National Championship trophy every time I visit the Bryant Museum. It’s awesome!
Also, I see what you did there.

Unquestionably the best team to play that year.

Angling for lunkers, I see.

Arkansas won the 1964 championship, not Alabama. Alabama claims they win titles even when they lose two or more games in a season (1941 is an example). Even when they lose to the other team who beat them in the bowl game being played for the national title (1973 to Notre Dame is an example).
Alabama makes up ways to claim titles. They're very smart at this.

Did they not claim it until much later?

I know you're trolling but the football on that ring looks like a mouth.

Did they win their bowl game that year?

I give this a 15% effort to troll, what is being missed here is that Alabama pretty much claims the title every single year.. what are they up to now, 80, 90 of them?
Nothing to see, move a long.

- Who won the national championship in 1950 when Oklahoma lost their bowl game?
- Who won the national championship in 1951 when Tennessee lost their bowl game?
- Who won the national championship in 1953 when Maryland lost their bowl game?
- Who won the national championship in 1960 when Minnesota lost their bowl game?
- Why does Texas not get shite for claiming the 1970 Coaches Poll national championship, despite losing their bowl game, and despite Nebraska winning the AP with an undefeated record?
- Why is it that, of all the examples listed, 1964 gets brought up almost exclusively?

Alabama was #1 in both polls.
The funny thing is, they changed for 1965 and did the final poll AFTER the bowls. That allowed Alabama to jump from #4 to #1 after winning their bowl game.

Someday, perhaps you'll have a football program that's good enough they can confuse the hell out of the voters. But obviously, this ain't gonna be the one.
41-24 and Roll Tide!!

Omg, it’s1990 and I just graduated high school. I feel the need for more hair spray and a trip to the Gap.
