Yes, good breakdown.
Key takeaways:
1) Very complex offensive schemes, which may explain the struggles on offense
2) Most offensive issues need simple adjustments to fix

Hopefully, we'll be able to do that by this weekend

And we also didn't do some very basic things very well on the OL in the 1st half and how in the HELL did Owen Condon win a starting job in fall camp?

At the very minimum we miss the versitility of Cade Mays

Hill at left guard and Ericsson at center with Cleveland at right guard and McClendon at right tackle was the most effective line up. Salyer obviously at left tackle.

This is the stuff I crave.

It does appear a bulk of it had to do with communication, assignments, and of course, penalties. All correctable.

I think we are loaded with versatility (hill at G or C, ericson at G or C, mclendon at G or T. Salyer at T, G, or C although he may be the one lineman we are afraid to move around).

Do we have a right tackle better than cade mays?

A difference between playing a different position and performing.Hill had difficulty at
both positions.

Not this past Saturday and obviously not in fall camp.

Cade Mays never won the RG job. Even with a healthy lineup, the starter was the one who did best in that week's practice (between mays and cleveland).
We saw mays he did at tackle against baylor. He was very good but not great. I have questions about his level of performance at UGA.

Still, he was better at RT than what we had on saturday.

Georgia Men com from families that can properly use a folding chair.

If we are pointing fingers...

Great film. That redzone play at 55-56 minutes or so was a pretty spot on assessment/commentary of just how predictably awful our offensive scheme was previously - and just how simple the reads can be made if schemed properly.

If you dumb it down too much, it's no longer a Monken offense. Need the guy in there that can run it to near full capacity.

The OL will be a work in progress. The archetypes of big maulers like Hill and Cleveland is somewhat outdated. You want more of the Brodericks and Van Prans with their mobility.

I think you get more of the promising moments after the halfway point (feels a lot like the actual game). I think it's reasonable to be irritated/upset at some of the gaffes, but it's also good that a good chunk of the poor play is easily identifiable. Whether the kids are listening and growing is another story, but I do think we've got the staff to get the message across.

Great site with very good analysis. I see now that it wasn't all Mathis' fault. I won't be surprised to see him start again Saturday.

If the offense is as complicated as it seems to be, I think the kinks can be expected. Especially without the spring for the bulk of the install. I’m pretty excited about what I saw, at least schematically.

Gotta put it together for 4 quarters and we have the film to do it now.

Welll hopefully we can get the kinks out soon because we can't pull the same shite against Auburn

If he starts Kirby would be taking an enormous dump on Bennett's forehead. That, and Auburn is not arkansas.

I suspect if Bennett sputters we see Daniels and that's it.
