I'd say this is a shocker, but that would have to be figuratively. Not literally.

Kevin Mays lost a finger for his son to miss a season.

Serves that fgt right for steering him to Athens in the first place

Can someone explain why this kid should be able to play immediately?

Im glad to see some of these high profile kids to have to learn some lessons the hard way.

He should have told them he identified as a North Korean defector and extreme bowl cut hairstyles trigger him.

Not sure who this guy is, but I’m pretty sure if you claim a baseball player says something mean you can go somewhere else and play right away.

Or maybe that’s just if you claim a baseball player says something mean, you are a former 5 star who wasn’t going to start, and you are transferring to a blue blood. Haven’t read the new rule book

It was denied for one reason- the NCAA, as a general rule, denies in-conference, non-graduate transfers immediate eligibility. All the comparisons with Daniels (who didn't deserve immediate eligibility IMO), Franks (a grad transfer) and Wolf (another grad transfer) don't hold water.

Let me also point out that even if the NCAA had granted Cade's waiver, the SEC could have stepped in and denied it, making him sit out anyway. Not many realize the conference has to sign off on that particular scenario as well.

Personally, I have no problems with allowing a one time transfer without sitting out for all transfers...

However, I am curious if there have been any waivers granted for transfers inter-conference , much less inter-division?
