LINK
SEC may become the new NCAA if all of these other conferences decide to cancel their seasons and I'm all for it!

SEC and ACC should just team up
9 game season
8 game conference schedule
1 sec vs ACC game
2 Conference title games
Sugar bowl for winners
10% fans in the stands
Ps
I would not be opposed to adding OU and Texas if they wanted to join to get to 16. Also, 1 spot in the acc for them to get to 16.

If for no other reason than to poach all the good players from other conferences and to clean up in recruiting, we should do it.

Cancellation is done by the league not the NCAA, if I understand it correctly. I would like to see the SEC wait until much later to cancel, if they indeed wind up canceling the season.
Think of it like this, if most of the conferences cancel their seasons and the SEC, and perhaps some other conference, does not they then have the stage all by themselves this fall.

We're even trying to set up exclusive TV contracts for the season. That shows you where the heads of the SEC presidents and ADs are.

I would think the SEC would make an absolute killing on TV contracts this year - if we play.

Nope to any more TX schools, they bring no more $ to the table.
We are far better off going into NC and VA and everybody gets paid.

Most intelligent people would be, so there is that.

Yep, fill in the holes in the SEC map.
NC State and VA Tech, just like it should've been in 2012.

They already are their "own league"

The NCAA isn't cancelling anything in regards to CFB and has nothing to do with the CFB playoffs.

When did this happen? Link?
I would assume this would be pretty difficult since "exclusive" TV contracts already exists.

Let's just open it up to anyone that wants to join us. Ratings bonanza and a fully captured audience. Sec/Acc/the other big boys who want in on the party.

Prime for an expansion of the SEC into new TV markets and go to an NFL style pod system with an NFL style playoffs.
Add Oklahoma, One of the North Carolina Schools, One of the Virginia Schools(VT preferably) all for TV contract reasons. Then add FSU, Clemson, Gtech, and Louisville for state school instate rival games to keep going. Then add one of ND(most likely) Texas, Miami, WV, Ohio State(BIG 10 would fight it tooth and nail) Kansas or KS, or any other bigger school. Then the SEC pushes for this to maintain after this year.
Having 4 pods of 5 teams each (could add four more on top for 4 pods of 6) Each team plays their pod and one cross pod teams, for 9 game season.
and so on...You get the idea, more importantly, I think SEC admins see the big picture. ACC's buy output a stop to the 16 team conference expansion plan. This COVID may give those teams a legal out now.

Pretty stupid response. Texas A&M is one of the biggest draws in the SEC. Texas, though I hate their arse, would be a huge draw for the SEC.

Funny...because I got the link directly from the OP before I posted. Nice try using the edit timestamp to hide your blindness.
