He did what he wanted. Not like Sumlin was a great coach.

The "BEAR" loved him!
Ken Hall, The Sugarland Express 11,232 yards in H.S. best all-time until Derrick Henry topped it.
Bryant says his biggest regret was how he handled Hall.
I'll throw Curtis Dickey out there also long with Johnny Hector and Roger Vick.

Cyrus Gray had back to back 1,000 yard seasons (2010, 2011).

He's currently in the starting backfield at Arkansas.

Bubba Bean. 1st round, I believe 7th or 9th overall pick to the Atlanta Falcons.
Great running back, even greater person.

Saw Javorski Lane play in high school. Dude looked like a tank amongst boys. He was deceptively quick though and once he got outside the defense on an outside run and turned his hips up he was gone.

Depends what you mean by great, but Trayveon was pretty good.
I always liked Ben Malena too. Thought he was underrated.

His two big years (JR and SR), he averaged almost 5.5 YPC, going against Bama, AU and LSU defenses twice, among others. He didn’t get many carries because Johnny took a bunch of them.

quote:Dickey was the mot talented Aggie rb ever. He just couldn't stay healthy. 1978 he ran the 6th fastest 100 meter time. I bet no Aggie or anyone else remembers he was the 5th pick of the first round in 1980.
I'll throw Curtis Dickey out there

Darren Lewis should be remembered more prominently. He rushed for over 1,600 yards twice in college and had over 5,000 rushing yard during his 4 years in College Station. He had 10 straight 100 yard games during one stretch.
He then got hooked on the white powder and his life was a slow-motion train wreck after that. Sad story all around.

He was a victim of the Sports Illustrated cover curse.

No doubt a stud. And yes, a sad story indeed.

You don’t remember when Williams rushed for 198 yards and 2 TDs just 2 years ago? He had over 2000 yards from scrimmage that year. More than CEH last year, Snell the year before, Kerryon the year before that, or Guice even before that. The last RB with more was Henry.
I think this LSU site refuses to give him credit cause they still have nightmares about him. But that's just a theory.
