I remember they use to always talk about how many pros this game produced but most these players flamed out quick in the NFL, Honey Badger was the best NFL player on the field

don't think there should have been a rematch but you gotta respect Alabama's preparation and execution. They looked like a completely different team than the one that lost two months previously.

I mean when you get rewarded a bye for losing at home and not winning your division or conference but yet still get to play in the championship game because of the incessant crying of your head coach to the media, it’s pretty easy....

You know even as recently as 10 months ago this would have triggered me, amazing how a 15-0 NC season that ends in the same building can wash the bad taste out of your mouth.

It's also in a way quite amazing that the worst moment in LSU football in my lifetime was making it to the BCSCG.

As long as Miles was the HC, we weren’t winning again vs Bama that year no matter how many games we played. He was too stubborn to give any other QB the ball.

Bama's demolishing of Penn State on the road was an impressive win, remember PSU was a good team until the Sandusky scandal broke then they imploded

The sick thing is that that LSU D was so good we were still in the game until that Richardson TD.

The guy I went to the game with was still super nervous at half time. I simply asked him "Have you seen this game? LSU might sneak a TD someway, but they aren't scoring twice."

The funny part of it, my uncle, who played for LSU at WR, agrees it was a bad call.

He can agree all he wants. That was an easy call and they got it right. This is coming from someone that pisses off LSU fans for trying to be too objective. That was a very clear interception.

the GOAT......

I laugh every time I hear that...... because it is not true, just something made up.

Now LSU had a very good season, you should be happy with that.

LSU beat Alabama 9-6 mostly due to Alabama missing FGs the entire game,

So what you're saying is - Bama beat themselves? Color me shocked.

I do love how revisionist LSU fans are about the 9-6 game. That game only went to OT because Alabama missed 3 field goals.

Alabama had 6 drives that went at least 30 yards. They ended with 2 missed FGs, a made FG, 2 INTs (one on the goal line), and a punt.

LSU had 4 drives that went 30 yards. Of those 3 ended in punts, 1 led to the field goal that tied the game at 3.

Alabama moved the ball decently all night but never capitalized. LSU could not move the ball but was 2/2 in regulation when they got into field goal range. To their credit they won, but LSU should have lost that game.

Leading up to the game in New Orleans I remember it seemed people picking the game came from two camps: some thought LSU was the team of destiny, so they picked them. Everyone else said "They're good, but they should have lost on 11/5." and picked Alabama.

So, you're saying that LSU was the better team that day.
