1. Ole Miss: 60 Years (1960-Present)
2. Auburn: 53 Years (1957-2010)
3. LSU: 45 Years (1957-2003
4. Georgia: 40 Years (1980-Present)
5. Tennessee: 31 Years (1967-1998)
6. Alabama: 19 Years (1942-1961)
7. Florida: 12 Years (2008-Present)
As much shite as we give Georgia for 1980, long stretches between championships is something only Bama and Florida haven't dealt with

I get what you're saying but your math isn't consistent.
LSU won a title in 1958, not 1957.
If you want to count Ole Miss's 1960 title, then you have to count their 1962 title, which you probably should since it appears you're giving credit to Alabama for 1941.

This list is deceiving because some in that list it’s a running clock. Also UF winning their first one in 96 could be said it took them around 100 years to get one. I know it’s between championships but think some have never won it even once.
Don’t forget Sleeping Giant A&M. 80 and counting.

Texas A&M won theirs in 1939. 81 > 60. The United States' involvement in World War II hadn't started since the "Facility Kings" won their title.

Now do years before first title. Also, LSU will definitely be claiming 1908.

Georgia clearly superior to crap LSU

If you ignore the first century of football sure

IMO Bama's should be 1993-2008. Since they won it in 2009 you should count that year. Just as he starts with the year after the last title was won he should end the year before the next title was won.

Good point. First title in 1996. Florida didn't win an SEC Title until 1984 (the stripping of that title after the fact was a joke.)

Not only has TAMU not won a title since 1939, they haven't even been ranked #1 in a weekly poll since Bear Bryant was their coach.
Last time ranked #1 in an AP poll
2020: LSU (Jan. 14th - Final Poll from 2019 season)
2019: Alabama (Oct. 20th)
2018: Georgia
2014: Mississippi State
2010: Auburn
2009: Florida
2007: Missouri*
1998: Tennessee
1965: Arkansas*
1964: Ole Miss
1957: Texas A&M*

National championships prior to 1965 were meaningless because the polls were final before teams played bowl games.
Winning in your conference and your part of the country is not enough to be called a national champion.
Bear Bryant should have won 2 more national titles. In 1950 his Kentucky team went 9-1 and won the SEC and then beat national champion Oklahoma 13-7 in the sugar bowl.
In 1966 Alabama was unbeaten(10-0) and lost out to Notre Dame who was 9-0-1 even though Alabama won their bowl game big over Nebraska while ND did not even play in a bowl game. It was political.
Only the Bear could have won a national title with Kentucky and in my opinion he did!

So a team can only make this list once?
UTn is sitting on 22 years right now.

Only took Florida 100 years and 1941 is Bama's worst claim

That's never been discussed here before. Wow!

Kentucky won it in 1950 baw. Get your facts straight.

Why did you leave Arkansas off the list? We own the 1964 championship according to several widely accepted publications. We were also awarded the 1977 NC by one outfit, although we don't claim it. Especially if you are going to include Ole Miss, when all 3 of their claimed titles are based on Dunkel, Billingsley, Better Homes & Gardens, Readers Digest, and little Johnny Rebel who works down at the gas station.
