Hearing that at least 4 victims.
One person tweeted that a child was shot in the head and has died. Hoping that's not so.

Jefferson County District Attorney Danny Carr was at the shooting scene. “This is another unfortunate incident involving young people and guns and at some point we’ve got to get a handle it,‘' Carr said. “They don’t understanding ramifications of their actions.”

Through July 2 2020 84 homicides in Jefferson County. 57 of those in Birmingham.
Staggering number. Still 5 more months left in the year.
Many of those deaths involve black on black.
It has gotten out of control in some major cities, Chicago being the leader.
This is completely ignored by mainstream media.

This beautiful child's life was a helluva lot more deserving of outrage and protests in the streets.
The race-hustling pimps don't give a shite because he wasn't killed by a white person. His life isn't helpful to their agenda.

Exactly. I just hope that the majority of Americans with basic common sense can see through the propaganda. These movements that are supposedly uniting us are dividing us and destroying the very fabric of our great country.

See, what you're doing is using this as an excuse to push your own narrative, which is what you seem to be upset about yourself. "Black lives matter" does not mean it's about white on black. Some of the opposition I see to this phrase is sick. You have not done your research. You have not attempted to understand. By the way, do we even have a full report on the situation yet beyond speculation? (That's not rhetorical, provide me a link if you have one)
Some of you have your own agenda and don't even realize it. I'm not going to sit here and talk politics with this board all night, but some you lack empathy in general and that sucks.

It's ironic seeing people who claim to hate talking about race always seem to inject it and attack the people they blindly hate or have a strong bias against.

Just stop. There is NO equivalence between the divisiveness of well known race baiters, the communist group BLM and the statements made here by posters who are fed up with the garbage of Sharpton, Jackson and BLM and their cynical use of media and black Americans to advance their own personal agendas.

We are in the middle of one of the biggest culture war moments in the history of this nation because of the death of George Floyd is supposed to be a symptom of this supposed plague of police brutality in this country. Almost every corporation, municipality, sports league, etc. is hammering “Black Lives Matter” because of that one death.
When people bring up black on black crime as a way to say that black lives matter should be wrapped into a larger conversation, they are shouted down as racist or told that they need to confront their white privilege. Meanwhile there won’t be a mural painted or black square posted for this poor soul. This tragedy happens far more often and it probably won’t even be on the front page of WBRC by Monday.
