What exactly is going to be different in February?

"Everyone will get on board"? Players are already skipping meaningless bowl games & their "agents" will not have them skip pre draft pro workouts, private training for the combine, etc. The elite players will never get to that point in time, they'll have signed agent contracts as soon as the regular season is pushed back. Team rosters will be gutted. This has already become a topic of conversation on various ESPN shows.

Yeah, IF it gets moved to Spring there will definitely be some issues with draft-eligible players.
I was talking more about the financial aspect and the school decision-makers..if it gets to the point where it’s either no football or spring football, the school administrators will inevitably choose spring football to salvage revenue. The impact on draft-eligible players will have little impact on choosing some football revenue over no football revenue.
Right now We’re still on Plan A, but time is running out:
Plan A: season as scheduled
Plan B: shortened/delayed season
Plan C: Spring season
Worst-case: no season

Just start in November instead of spring

That could get real dang cold in Lexington, Knoxville, Columbia and Nashville. Worse than November.

There won’t be a vaccine. There’s never been a vaccine successfully created for an RNA virus. So this won’t be a thing. Our best bet is just improving treatment. This is not going away and there won’t be some miracle solution. Just play football as is. Everyone will get this, but just improve the treatment.
This is much too reasonable of a response.

I'd be asking for my season ticket money back if it got pushed to February.

Click bait article.
First, the NCAA has already said that a decision on when to play will be up to the schools and conferences (and subject to the situations in the states where they are situated).
Second, the advisory committee panel member they quote basically made the same point that folks here have made--what will be different in February?

Adalja discussed that having college football postponed until February could be one modification to the upcoming season. He also mentioned that you could see players wearing face shields as a precaution against COVID-19.
“You might have better control of the outbreak at that time, but we still won’t have a vaccine,” Adalja said of postponing the season until February. “You have to think about all kinds of modifications and that might be one.
“This virus is going to be with us until we have a vaccine, and if we are going to do sports, you have to come up with a way to try and make it feasible. I think pushing it off, you may still have those same problems — I don’t think we have an easy answer to this.”
