Once the SEC got more competitive in recruiting Saban had to expand his reach to keep bringing in those Top 3 recruiting classes, and he saw an untapped goldmine in CA. The work he’s done to establish ties to CA and the west coast in general have paid off nicely with guys like Tua, Najee, and Jonah Williams.
