What are they going to say about this years team? You should keep something in reserve.

wtf
Most of the reasonable LSU fans on this board seem to be pretty conservative about next year and aren't really banging on about being a new dynasty or anything

2019 LSU was the best Football any of us have ever seen. Who cares if football is ever played again?

Have you guys even looked at the talent LSU has on their roster next year?

Exactly...last year was a special team for LSU. Burrows had an incredible season...but if you look back, LSU historically starts off slow, often stumbling in September. LSU could easily be 2/2 at the end of September 2020

We saw a relatively inexperienced LSU team get to 10 wins in 2018 which was O's second season as HC and Ensminger's first as OC along with Burrow not spending most of the offseason with the team to build chemistry with his teammates and coaching staff.
2020 LSU has the talent to compete with anyone in the country, how they'll gel together as a team remains to be seen.
I think a NY6 bowl is a reasonable expectation.

I think if/when we have the 2020 season it's going to be a crapshoot across the board. Too many variables that we haven't seen come together before for all teams.

Does Ehrlinger return for Texas or did he graduate?

This year's team will be pretty good, but it won't change a damn thing about 2019.

I’ll worry about 2020 when it’s time. For now, just allow me to bask in the glory of the greatest season in college football history.

I like our chances with brennan at the helm.

Remember when LSU beat UForfeit 7 out of 10 times and it caused Gators to obsess about LSU? I remember.

We know there is nowhere to go but down, but we are still going to support the team and see what they can do.

2019 is over. LSU left nothing in reserve. It’s on film to be enjoyed forever. Good luck to the rest of you.

This is true, and I know Saban, Nebraska and a few others have had runs that are better still... 3 straight HCs with a NC, 3 NCs playing for a 4th in 16 years is ABSOLOUTELY OUT OF REACH for 95% of programs out there. A total pipe dream. Posers can pay a coach 75 million dollars per day and never even sniff that.
LSU 2020 could easily take multiple Ls, likely won't be a top 10 team in the final ranking. Still the program is one of the premier ones and the way Orgeron is recruiting another run at the top is reachable in the relative near future. LSU could easily be the next SEC Team to win another National Championship. Most never will.

quote:We’ve lost 12 games in the month of September since the year 2000, with 5 of those in Saban’s first 3 years. From 2003 to present we’ve lost only 7 games in September. So no you’re wrong we don’t historically start off slow in September, especially considering we’ve played Auburn a lot in the month of September.
