Best chance to win it all in 2020 (in my opinion)

1. Clemson
2. Ohio State
3. Alabama
4. Georgia
5. LSU

this guy gets it. not sure why the downvotes, except people being biased.

he believes the five schools that can win it all are as follows:

Alabama
Clemson
Georgia
LSU
Ohio State

Pretty much the same as 2017,2018, and 2019.

I can’t imagine why Florida would be left off of that list. Have to believe they will be favored to win the east this year.

They won't be favored over UGA.

UGA has too much talent in recruiting coming in and bringing back on defense. UF couldn't score on UGA until the 4th qtr of last years game with a less talented defense than they will bring in this year.

Also, no one fears Trask...at all....

Because LSU only has to get about 60% of their 2019 production to still be playing for a NC. I’m not saying they will, but you’re talking about a team that broke just about every NCAA offensive record last year.

Day 1 starter Arik Gilbert is likely an upgrade at TE.
O line is an upgrade.
Defense overall is likely an upgrade.
The biggest ? is QB. Myles, like Mac Jones, did look very promising in garbage time play.

If Bama should be considered a contender with Mac at QB, why shouldn’t LSU be with Brennan?

Brady wouldn’t have had the success he did without Ensminger and the players. They all get some credit.

How is O-line an upgrade?

It's true. Most teams, including most of the SEC are not championship contenders.

College football has essentially become the SEC along with Ohio State and Clemson. USC needs to get the right coach in place.

I miss Nebraska, Texas, Michigan, Miami and a few other powerhouses that I consider "once-were's" now.

I'm an LSU fan and I'm also questioning how you figure Oline will be an upgrade. If (big IF) rosenthal comes back with his head on straight, I'll give you the tackles will be equal to/greater than 2019. Ingram will lock down one guard spot and be as good as if not better. But the other guard spot and most especially center are very much up in the air.

I'm going to need some supporting evidence to believe this.

I’m with you. Mullen is somehow still very underrated as a coach

How so? Most ppl consider him a great offensive mind and good HC. I’d say that’s fairly accurate. Until UF gets rid of third and grantham I don’t see them doing much.

I think people overlooking Florida for next season is an extension of overlooking the job he did at State and bringing Florida to back-to-back NY6 seasons after McElwain’s shitty recruiting. Seems most overlook them as a contender when they’ve been on the cusp lately, hence the underrated comment

Hold on a minute. From reading the rant, you would believe that LSU is going to fall off next season. Lol, we aren't even close to falling off with the talent we have. We still comin'.

UGAs defense will be extremely talented, experienced and deep. If the Offense can be above-average, we'll be extremely hard to beat, because not many teams will put up more than 17-21 points.

LSU doesnt have to be as good as they were in 2019 because no one in the SEC is as good as they were in 2019 either.

The closest exception is A&M and LSU beat them by 43 points.

That said, I dont think LSU wins a championship in 2020

For whatever reason, some Teams are going to get better and play better in 2020

It could be the guys in Locker Room are more compatible with each other, could be they're more motivated by seeing another Team win it all, but you can't rely on other Teams being worse, sometimes what seems like lesser parts can mesh into a UNIT that makes less mistakes and plays better in bigger moments vs tougher competition

But one thing is for certain, it is tough as hell to replace 14 draftees plus others that signed as UDFAs, and losing a Veteran QB that bailed you guys out in many tight spots, you can't just assume the backup is going to also bail you out in those tight spots in his first year as a Starter

How the hell does any “expert” include LSU in that list? Did they not watch the NFL draft?
