State (Pirate Mike Leach) or Ole Miss (Freshwater Kiffin, Joey) ?

Pretty sure Mike Leach won't survive this month.

A coach that posts racist images vs a coach that is probably already banging half of his recruiting staff.

Should be interesting.

Leech is seeming knida dumb ATM, but the one to be fired is the first to lose to the other twice in a row. My guess is if they both last 3 seasons Lane will put out a consistently better product and Cap'n Mike will be ousted first.

Very hard to say. I think it’s much easier to predict how Leach will do at state, we have examples of him being in very similar situations (being at one of the non traditional powers in a P5 conference). Freshwater is way more of a boom or bust. So I would bet Kiffin but also think Kiffin is more likely to be very successful.

Leach by a longshot. Which is unbelievable considering who he is up against

why do people from alabama and Louisiana refer to their colleges and universities as "schools"?

State, Leach is sure to have more PR snafus and there won't be enough wins to insulate him.

Neither of them are endearing themselves to their respective teams and fanbases by staying in Florida. Even before the shutdown started, they weren't very visable in the state.

Hopefully neither. Both are welcome additions in my book and make the league more interesting. I predict upsets and fireworks.

Leach. Ole Miss will stick with Lane even if he underperforms barring some huge scandal, and even then they will try to avoid firing him.

As a MSU fan, I hope Leach does well but I can’t help but feeling like our fanbase will sour on him fairly quickly. I also am starting to question whether he was the solution to our current problem, which was an undisciplined culture - something that has been extremely toxic for other programs. Maybe we should have just asked Croom if he’d come back.

There behavior is pretty normal in Mississippi so that won't get them fired at all. The one that loses two Eggbowls in a row and have two mediocre seasons will get the boot. I think Lane Kiffin has a better chance at recruiting & running a SEC style offense than Leach does.

Kiffin will get Ole Miss going in the right direction.. couple 7-8 win seasons, and he bolts for a better job at an Arizona, South Carolina, Oregon State type

Leach ain't gonna make it....he is as ill equipped to maneuver the SEC and Mississippi as Jim Donnan was at UGA....he's gonna get run and run quick....Kifflin will probably take a job somewhere else in a few years...after what he did to the Vols (couldn't have happened to a better program but dam) he shouldn't ever be given another HC in the SEC....

Both were gimmick splash hires designed to mask the stenches of their predecessors' failures, both morally and professionally, as well as the missteps of those who hired them.

Kiffin will leave first though. He either bolts in the night for the next greener pasture or has some extracurricular scandal. Neither one are going to be winning a lot of games.

Also Kiffin will have the added pressure of having to sign Arch Manning in two years. If he fails to do that, he'll be gone for sure.
