In 2010 & 2019 both went

Undefeated NCs
Heisman record breaking QBs
Up and coming OCs (brady gone)
HC who people didn't believe in

Auburn went 8-5 in 2011

What will LSU be in 2020

Better than 8-5

Likely 10-2, wouldn’t be shocked with a 9-3 regular season, and I’m not predicting a bowl matchup that isn’t set yet

LSU's 2020 talent is light years better than Auburn 2011 was

The 2011 Auburn team got blown out by basically every good team they played.

You forgot the most important thing.

Auburn had 3 players drafted in the 2011, 2012 & 2013 drafts combined.

LSU could triple that in 2020 alone.

LSU will take a step back but not as bad as we did.

I think their floor is 4 losses but will likely end up with 2. No way they lose 5 and get blown out by their rivals.

2011 Auburn will still be one of the worst defending national champions. LSU is still loaded.

Holy shite, is that true? Seems crazy than an SEC team would have so few players drafted.

They were not good in 2011 and were downright awful in 2012.

No. I always respond to this ridiculous comparison with ridiculous responses.

I think they had 5 or 6 total during that timeframe.

They hadn't quit at that point. They just flat out quit the 2nd half of the season.

Speaking of that it’s gonna be a bit weird to play Barn so late this season. How the hell did that happen

That will be a huge difference in my estimation. I see 2020 regular season as a 10-2/9-3 record and 2021 we will be a team full of veteran talent and likely challenging for the SEC and a playoff bid.

It is going to be really difficult to go 4-1 or better against Texas, @ UF, Alabama, @AU, and @aTm with a new QB and tons of juniors leaving early. There are only 2 or 3 programs in the nation that have proven they are immune from "rebuilding years" and LSU isn't one of them.

And it could have been worse.

We were down 10 points with under 2 minutes to go in our opener vs Utah St. Stopped Keith Relf from scoring a game-tying TD inside our 2 in the final seconds the next game vs MSU.

We somehow stumbled our way to ugly wins over SCarolina and UF, but were absolutely manhandled by everyone else with a pulse (our 5 losses were by an average margin of 28 points).

I don’t know how we possibly thought we were going to be competitive in 2012. It’s probably a good thing that we canceled football that year
