Auburn went 8-5 in 2011

Auburn also lost 33 scholarship players off that team including 10 starters on offense and 9 starters on defense. LSU does not have to deal with those kind of losses.

Also Auburn had a fraud at OC in 2011. Everyone blamed Chizik for "meddling" but it is damn clear now that Gus was the problem. His inability to scout and develop OL in the preseason was a problem in 2011. That was the first year we had a major shuffle on the OL after the first game. Which has become nearly an annul thing under Gus.

And it could have been worse. We were down 10 points with under 2 minutes to go in our opener vs Utah St

I totally forgot about that Utah St game. Ha!

No worse than 9 and 3. Probably 10 and 2. 11 and 1 12 and 0 are possible.

What will LSU be in 2020

Better. The two are not the same. Having lost their GOAT QBs is the sole common denominator.

Plus...
Coach O has teeth.

And

Lsu has an OC capable of calling a winning game that is not dependent on the whirly bird and any series of fluke plays generated from the magical horseshoe.

That is debatable. We have seen Esminger calling someone offense without help before. It did not go well.

You realize LSU is not the little brother in its own State right? Any comparisons are absurd for that reason alone.

Chizik's first three seasons:

8-5
15-0
8-5

O's first three seasons:
9-4
10-3
15-0

2008 LSU was worse than 2011 Auburn bud. Les gave no fricks that season

LSU went 10-3 with Ensminger calling plays in 2018.

Actually 2008 LSU is a good comparison to 2011 AU. LSU was awful in 2008

Barners didn't think it was fair to play UGA & Bama so closely together at the back end of their season so they asked to bump the UGA game up. We acquiesced.

South Carolina went 11-2 that season and still lost at home to Auburn. Thanks a lot Steven Garcia.

I think LSU has a legit chance to win the SEC, the SECW is up for grabs right now
